I've already said that I stay away from Tiger Rant, but it's not uncommon that you haven't read what other people say and take potshots that have no relevance to the conversation incessantly.

You've literally bitched more about my bitching than anything else, and if that's what gets your rocks off, why shouldn't I call a spade a spade?

Season 8, Episode 4 is now officially the second worst rated episode of Game of Thrones (the worst for Reddit rating) and sits at 57% on Rotten Tomatoes. This is shocking, according to some, because critics are usually very soft on Game of Thrones. Kind of a tragedy that the writing and direction of the show has been at its worst in its final season with several spinoffs right on the heels that will very likely be cancelled.

It's unfortunate that you've convinced yourself of failure no matter how miraculous the writing could change moving forward.

Why even watch now?

Everyone loves a train wreck.

And man, I don't know why it's so hard for people who support the show (no matter what) to just admit that the writing is substandard. It's bad, and if you paid attention in episode 3 you would have noted that something was terribly awry.

Episode 4 and its outrageously poor rating is a sign of things to come.

There's always hope that Cersei wins and the series says prophecies are retarded, but I'm not holding my breath.

Because we’ve gotten this far and it’s almost over.

how miraculous
That’s the thing. The likelyhood of it changing at this point is almost none. And there just isn’t enough time now to drastically change the outcomes.

My problem with D&D is they don’t seem to care as much as they did in the earlier seasons. They just seem like they want to move on to their next project (which is Star Wars btw).

Dude, there's literally nobody in here that hasn't admitted that this season has been bad writing. It's just that everybody thinks you're annoying af constantly acting like a pompous little bitch about everything, acting like you're the only one smart enough to notice these things, and writing entire chapters about how much you hate every little scene. You're a wet blanket and nobody likes people like that. Go start a blog or some thing if you're such a good writer and really want to spend this much time crying about it.

You have literally talked about me more than the show. Maybe you should join the writers, they're just as blind to irony as you.

Rage on, triggered little man.

Yep.

They've given up, they've been ready to get out and they just need to haphazardly tie all of these characters together.

Just curious: Do you honestly think you're a person who elicits intelligent discussion with the way you've behaved in the thread?

You're not.

I actually don't think you're stupid, but every time you respond to me you only talk about my intentions so I treat you in kind. "You just want to bitch, you're only here to do x, y and z."

I have no problem actually talking about the show at great length with people who agree with me -- if you don't agree with me I'm more than willing to accept any argument outside of "well it's GOT get over it narf", okay, let's talk.

But to pretend like you're this ingratiating, meek and mild user who simply wants to have an educated discussion while using evidence in this thread isn't even remotely near the truth.

I don't need to be an expert writer to critique bad writing in the same way you don't need to be president to think that the president isn't doing something right. Your entire argument is shallow, as I've said repeatedly -- it just boils down to that.

Here's how I see it: We avoid each other in the rest of the thread. You stop talking about me (especially when I'm not even talking to you) and I'll just leave you alone because it's obvious that this upsets you quite a bit.

"Large swaths of the fan base of a majorly popular television show left outraged after lazy writers scuttle the final season."

There ya go, spoiled.

I'm not the one constantly carrying on about my own superior intellect in this thread, you are. I have no reason to defend myself there.

Just look at yourself, you just wrote 6 paragraphs on how you think you're smarter than I am. Calm tf down and get some sleep or something.

But fine, I can agree to that. I'll stop replying to ITT and on the subject of GOT/ASOIF after this

I want to respond with the leaks. Season's gonna get special in the head before it's over, assuming the leaks are true

Oh I already knew this was gonna be the case. I don't care though. I'm ready to see the end of this. Even if it's bad, it'll be complete

This show is definitely going to looked back upon like Lost or Dexter. Obviously this show is way popular than those two, but all these shows will been viewed as having disappointing/controversial final seasons by a significant portion of the fan base.

What's crazy is that this series absolutely prints money. People love the world, have been involved for so long and they're engaged. I don't even think that they necessarily needed to end it completely (like the aforementioned series), and, rather, just continue after the next person to get off of the Throne.

Ten years after, maybe? Create an entire, actual history that we've watched and have it impact the next spinoff?

I think the more distressing part is that this is an extremely rich, ample world that had the potential to really take off but after this? I doubt anyone will trust HBO with the future of GoT, and even less if the same writers are brought on. (I have a sneaking suspicion that the writers will 100% not be involved in the next projects, even if there were some plans.)
