The shooting occurred at a warehouse 1675 Airport Road, Kennesaw, near the Cobb County Airport.

Cobb County Police spokeswoman Dana Pierce confirmed there is active and ongoing incident.

"The area around the building has been secured and the officers are now clearing the incident location. This is still an active and fluid situation," Officer Michael Bowman said.

Six injured were taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital, ABC News affiliate WSB-TV reported. Their conditions were not immediately known. Some of the injured are in surgery, hospital spokesman Tyler Pearson told ABC News.

I've coached lacrosse for one year at a school in Cobb. Loved the game but I was completely lost.

Soooo...I just read my first article on this shooting and it turns out me and the security guard (Chris Sparkman) that got shot went to AIT together. That's a weird feeling to click on an article and see that someone you know is in critical condition.

I checked with his wife on FB and he's doing better and will have his first recovery surgery tomorrow. Outlook looks positive.
