If he's a stud, do we settle for a Drew Pyne type out of the portal?
If he's a dud, do we throw lots of cash at one of the top QBs?
Does his bowl performance have any bearing at all on the portal QB question?

Who are these top QBs you speak of? The kid from Cincy who threw for a whole 60 yards vs Nebraska and choked on the game winning drive.

Or Raiola the statue, who will get killed in the SEC. Maybe Chiles will wake the hell up. Lagway runs hot and cold. I am not convinced there is a clear cut, bag worthy QB in the portal yet.

So play it safe, get the kid from MI who worked with our new OC regardless of how Zollers does.

Zollers could throw for 400 yards, 70% cp, zero turnovers and get the W and I'll still say the same thing - he isn't going to make it a full season.

Raiola doesn't seem like a fit for the Wilderness Brotherhood.

Hoover from TCU would seem like a good 1 year plan if Zollers doesn't look quite ready for prime time.

Aiden Chiles has one of eligibility left and might be a cheap #2.
