I’m interested in what the dynamic on this board will be if that happens.

I’m guessing the board goes mostly silent

We beat a good team that we were capable of winning going into it. Im only worried about two things, QB and abandoning whats working on offense.

If we win, I'll be very happy for BO on his first signature win. If we lose, it better not be from a boneheaded mistake by BO, or I'll be one step closer on thinking about the next coach.

Your move, coach.

It will demonstrate BO CAN turn the corner. He can win a big game against a better coach. He’ll have earned some grace for the inevitable drop off next year.

And it will help recruiting. We need to keep the ones we have committed.

You’re creating a narrative for people who aren’t excited with Barry that really isn’t the case.

I was sitting in the stands last Saturday hoping and praying Barry would figure out a way to win a big game. My cousin and I looked at each other halfway through the 3rd quarter and said “This isn’t going to end well.” We had a brief moment of joy when the last play in regulation ended with an incomplete pass. And then just walked out in resignation when we lost.

We don’t want to lose. We don’t want to fire the coach. You still don’t understand that. He’s simply been presented at least 6-8 chances to seize the narrative and change the perception of him. He hasn’t come through.

Im not worried. Most of them have said on twitter that they're "110% committed".

Mizzou finished really strong last season and I have been expecting that to happen this season as well. This game would be a good start

This board is can be very dramatic with emotion.

I think it's the fear of sinking back into the abyss. It is tough because you can clearly see the improvement being made by Odom each year while simultaneously seeing full boneheaded maneuvers. It really makes me wonder if this is jitters that will settle down because he is relatively new that he is making silly mistakes because they could have had a good to maybe great year or if he just is going to go full tard at times or maybe he can't coach at this level.

I very much want to avoid the coaching carousel. But who knows.

Only issue, Florida and tenny are much better than they were last year. We have at least two guaranteed wins to get us to 6 tho.

You can’t possibly speak for “we”

Several posters who would rather be “right” than the program succeeds. No doubt about it.

You’ll see how quiet it gets around here if we win. Now, if you’re open to adjusting your perception then good for you. There are many that won’t.

Firing your coach is bad. I don’t think many fully grasp that. Odom succeeding, even if you’ve conjured up some reason in your head to dislike him, is good. I don’t think many fully grasp that.

Starting over bad. Continuing to build good. It’s quite simple.

Starting over: Bad.

Continuing with a bad coach: Worse.

Everything Bass said. I want BO to turn the corner and succeed. I have seen no evidence of this yet. (And quit trotting out last years "Parade of the dead" as some sort of proof.)

Wow what a build we have what a 1-17 record vs "good" teams the last 3 years. frick lets build our True Son a statue. this is big boy football and a big boy career. Results are all that matter. If Mizzou was clearly outmatched in talent I would be forgiving. thing is we are not outmatched in talent vs USC or UK or even UGA in 2016. We are though CONSTANTLY out coached.

First of all it's not if it's "when" we beat Florida. Mizzou wins by a late FG as Florida makes enough mistakes to keep Mizzou close.

So "when" we beat Florida I think Dooley will still look like a bad choice. But it may take the heat off of BO. But in all honesty, by now shouldn't we have a sense of whether he is the right guy? It really shouldn't be a back and forth, and the case for keeping him should be better than "let's just GIVE him 1 more year." He should be EARNING it by now.

The board was better off without you. Does that still not register?

As for winning. It’d be a first for Barry. Bearing a better coach and a legit team. He’d get enough grace to survive that game but not enough fin he flubs Vandy, Tenny, and Arky. Or two of the three.

I’m sure it was if you want to have a BO sucks echo chamber where none of the repetitiveness is ever questioned.

Florida is certainly better, but still has huge QB issues. Tennessee, on the other hand, is one terrible Auburn team away from being winless in the SCE for their last 12+ games. I fully expect Missouri to destroy the vols

We have two SEC road wins since 2015 - Arkansas and Vanderbilt last year. I will be surprised if we beat a decent team on the road this year.

Gotta disagree with you on that. Sports is the last bastian of vigorous discussion. With everything else, Americans just repeat what their television tells them to say. Without BO enthusiasts like JQ, the board would be just different threads all saying the same thing. How long before that becomes BORING?

I talk shite, vent and sometimes all out melt, but I need someone with a different view so I can either look at things differently, or fire back at their "stupidity" (like someone suggesting Bob Stoops would come to Mizzou WTF???) For me it is the bat shite crazy stuff that people type that make it entertaining. Bob Stoops
