They haven't this year. They didn't even have a capacity crowd for Bama.

They still had 81k, we’ll go with 15k bama that’s still 66k fans to watch a bad team with a backup QB play Alabama.

They have solid crowds. They don't fill the house regularly though.

everyone here that lives in missouri will have some sort of an excuse. Some or good, some are bad.

Im no saint, I only go to about 2 games a year, sometimes 3. Id go to more if hotels we're as pricey as they were. For me, if im driving 2 hours, and drinking, im staying the night. But I also dont want to drop a few hundred.

Still till today, my biggest gripe is that the Amtrak doesnt go to como. It would get used so much more, and ever talking about for students who dont have cars.

Yep, it would do wonders for everyone involved. Missouri needs to get out of the 19th century.

The real Moe Miracle is the fact that we keep talking about him. His opinion is and always has been shite.

People keep saying this w/out providing anything that refutes TJ's claim. Is everyone so offended by the comment because they know it is true?

I mean, I have no problem that we, even myself, are self-loathing fans always waiting for the next bad thing to happen and I think that is completely normal given the fact most of us have never experienced Mizzou winning anything significant in our lifetime. We have been trained to be this way by decades of results.

I think TJ's comments probably lack the context and including the football program's own results as the driving factor but overall, he isn't wrong other than we are not the worst. We are on the same level as most.

I don't need to refute anything. He's just doing it for attention my guy. That's what we all hate. Ironically enough, I liked him when he was a player and when Pinkel told him to keep his shite opinion to himself while playing under him.

What is he "doing" for attention? Telling the truth? I'm still not sure why it is upsetting anyone. It doesn't seem like a controversial statement to me and nobody has yet to point out why it is.

The fans are fine.
The Athletic Department has NOT done a good job of marketing.
When HCGP had his 4 teams playing for conference championships we had to pinch ourselves to see if we were dreaming.
Basketball has been a shambles since Anderson went home to Arkansas.
We just have had nothing to hang our hats on a constant basis.

There’s no way that’s true is it? I’d assume like 250 to 300k tops.

yeah it's about 300k but let's not let facts muddy this thing up

also a majority of those are country conservatives (best euphemism I could come up with) that could give a shite about college football, or college

Like to see where that number is from. I find:

The Columbia metropolitan area is the region centered around the City of Columbia in the U.S. state of Missouri. Located in Mid-Missouri, it consists of five counties: Boone, Audrain, Randolph, Cooper, and Howard. The population was estimated at 256,640 in 2017, making it the 4th largest metropolitan area in Missouri.

I’m talking about Columbia sc, and how South Carolina has an easier time getting 80k to the stadium.
