frick yes! Why not? I always said I wanted ceiling with this hire and that’s exactly what this guy has. He’s exactly the type of hire we should have been making. Thank god Sundvold stopped Sterk from hiring Blake Anderson

From what little I do know, I'm good with it.

I would have preferred Harsin or Fickell. I get why Norvell said no.

Yeah I'm okay with it. Not much history as a HC, but what he has shown, I like a lot. Recruiting is the major topic in my mind moving forward.

Resume sure as shite light years ahead of BoDumb.

* Coached with crazy Gus
* Worked with Chizik
* RBs coach and STs Coord
* Worked with Harsin with the TEs and O-Line
* NCSt. OC
* HC

Shits on anything Barry ever accomplished with the names to back up. Pretty nice coaching tree. Yea. There's Gus, but we don't have to worry about in that regard.

I like that he's young and will likely have that itch to prove himself.

Having FSU in the pool thinned things out quite a bit. Kiffin was never going to happen, did anyone go after Clawson? Or was he holding out for a Blue Blood?

His team scored 69 TDs in 13 games while allowing 31.

I'm good with this.

No doubt he has a good football resume, just not much as a HC. I'm not holding that against him, but is a bit of concern. With that said, I'm totally cool with the hire. Recruiting is more of a concern. If he does good in that area, I have very little doubt he will succeed here.

Irony: App State will face UAB in the New Orleans Bowl. Been nice to see Drinkwitz and Clark face off.

This. It appears to be a solid hire.

I'll say this. Out of the people we seemed to actually have a shot at this was the best one which is better than we usually do.

He has one year at HC. He went 12-1 with Satterfield's players. We don't know much about his recruiting. High risk. Can't wait to see that contract

One thing about them being Satterfields players is that App State doesn't get highly rated players to begin with. So it's not like Satterfield brought in a bunch of 4 and 5 star players or even 3 star.

Drink had to coach these kids up and take them on the road to 2 power 5 wins. I.agine him coaching our kids up to challenge Florida and Georgia.

I'm more than good with the hire

I'm interested to see what kind of staff he puts together

It's not like he starts off here with a complete rebuild talent wise.

Solid resume, offensive minded and young.....just a small sample on HCing.

Possible negative; if he's successful (subjective), he could bolt for a bigger school.

Probably so, weird that no one got very far with him.

He's from Alabama, he's spent his entire coaching career there, and he probably will die there.

The guy is a lifer.

That having been said, if I was him and offered the Mizzou job I'd have taken it. Y'all don't need a major rebuild like we do. A good coach can step in and probably crank out a very good season.
