Was out of shape. Didn’t need him. Don’t need that scoring and rebounding. Need more people who’ll play defense but actually don’t play defense.

He sucked when he was here and you know it. Good for him that he finally found himself and his game, but it's not CMs fault he left.

Did you write Zo's recruiting ad?

Tray Jackson did not suck when he was on the floor. He showed his potential multiple times in limit minutes.

He barely played lol. The one game he got extended play he blocked a shot at the rim then ran the full length of the court and had a put back dunk at a clutch point in the game.

He had moments when he was here, but he would go into a coma on the floor and become a liability. Last year at Seton Hall he rarely played and averaged around 1-3 points a game. He's a different player this year and has finally turned up his game and I'm happy for him.
Parker Braun is starting for Santa Clara and averaging around 6-7 points a game. Good for him, but the heck with his trouble-making family.

Braun family was right about CM. Did you see his latest stat line?

Everyone (especially players and their families) expect that every freshman can just come in and play at a high level. There is no patience anymore. Players get better as they get older. Their mind and body matures, their fundamentals improve and the game slows down. Good for both these guys.
Personally I blame the culture of "select" and "travel" sports. Every kid is under the impression they have unique skills and are already at the top of their game. Spots aren't earned, they are paid for by parents and sponsors.

He was barely on the court for a sub-.500 team. And he was the most physically gifted player we had (he would be now, too).
He averaged almost 15 pts/40 minutes played - 5th on the team. He had the highest rebounding/40 minutes at 8.9 - higher than Tilmon and Mitchell Smith. Shot almost 60% from inside the 3 pt line.
He played fewer than half the minutes of Torrence Watson. And 1/3 the minutes of Pickett.

That’s a convenient narrative.

Last year he played behind an all-conference player. If we had an all conference 3, we could repeat this discussion. We don’t have a 3 that would start for the majority of other SEC teams.

Of course it’s partly on CM. Part of his job is to develop the talent he brings in and put them in a position to succeed. He does neither
