As I wrote before, you could tell Lovett was frustrated with Cooks inaccuracies. Maybe if he sees that Horn gets a fair Shot in 2023 he stays.

And looking for NIL money is risky. High powered programs also have several high profile players. There is no guarantee he has an impact somewhere else.

It’s risky if you don’t already have an offer. Just speculation: a guy who cleans his locker out the night of the last game knows where he’s going.

What coach are we going to get that will stop richer programs from buying players off of our roster.

Seriously, I’m very close to just saying frick college football.

This may be related to Macon not playing last week. He’s obviously leaving and an ESL grad like Lovett. The families know each other and may have hard feelings toward Drink.

I wouldn’t be shocked if it were illini that poached them.

LSU in the mix. Steeples poached Wingo last year.

I was afraid of that. They are in real need of an impact WR. We will have to deal with Steeples for about 2-3 more years.

As soon as Steeples can’t poach talent, he’ll be gone. If we would pony up twice whatever Lovett is being offered, Steeples might be gone sooner.

Would be a smart tactical move.

Drunkwitz fricked us with his Cook love affair and shite offense.

Losing Lovett is a disaster. If Burden goes, Drink should be fired. There’s no recovery from a mass exodus on offense. You lose Burden, Lovett, Macon, and potentially Horn (Horn recruited Burden after all), then there’s nothing left on offense. You’re starting all the way over.

Yes. The TP and NIl shite is BS and needs amendments with the quickness or the top 15 programs can go into their own super league where they can’t poach smaller school players.

Burden isn’t going anywhere. (Now)

And I think this has less to do with Cook and more to do with NIL.

If we aren’t going to match with our best players, they’ll consistently lose players the last year before their final season.

Lovett will be a junior. It’s off to the NFL. With more NIL, he gets a safety net of cash in case of injury or ineffectiveness in the NFL.

But more than that, as a rising junior, he’s goes to a likely more wide open offensive system.

That means more NFL exposure. Bigger numbers and a better draft position.

It got Jameson Williams a fat pay day even with an ACL injury.

That's a good point. Might as well cut his balls off now. You would think with St. Louis and KC we could build a nice NIL nest.

I've also found it weird I haven't been contacted. The AD calls me. For NIL,is it me who calls someone?

Yes. If this wasn’t the third leading receiver in the SEC, I’d think it was more about production and targets.

This is 100% business. This isn’t drinks fault. We could have any QB in the country and this still likely happens. He wants to go to wherever pays the most, period.

Lovett sees the money Burden and Horn are getting. He deserves more and he might be able to get it somewhere else.

The bad thing for Lovett is he is a slot receiver. He has good hands, but he plays a position that can be easily replaced. He’s not a X receiver that has to be strong and fast like Burden. Burden is a piece of the offense that will be hard to replace.

Mekhi can replace Lovett. He is 3 inches taller and weighs about 15lbs more. In the slot speed isn’t as important as being quick, hands, and route running(Bannister). Mekhi was a steal in the 22 recruiting class.

This is going to be a problem for everyone not named Georgia, Bama, OSU or Michigan. Just have to deal with it. And even those guys are no longer going to be able to stack skill players 4 deep anymore.

Linemen. I want linemen.

Is it possible for NIL entities to lure him back to Mizzou with enough money?
