Drink's making inroads but it's going to take time.

I'll never blame a kid from choosing a Clemson but it's always a gamble they'll end up as bench fodder.

First thing Drinkwitz needs to do is prove himself that he can compete with the big boys and win 9-10 regular season regularly. Odom failed to do that. Recruits will go to Mizzou when Drinkwitz gets the football program to competitive against top teams. That will be tough since he will need to recruit players that can compete against top teams. It will take time and the team will need depth as well. Losing to MSU was bad but he didn't have the system in place and time to evaluate everything. It took Gary Pinkel a long time to get things figured out. Gary is a good HC but was slow to turning things around. Might be due to being at Mizzou that never did well in recruiting and winning many games in a season. I think Drinkwitz is going to be even better and with the much-needed portal and being a much better coach than the former ones like Odom and he didn't suck too bad and if he could do it with lesser talents and blown some games that Mizzou was favored to win. Drinkwitz should be a huge upgrade over Odom.
