Today’s loss wasn’t just coaching

The team came out playing soft, and uninspired. Am I the only one that saw that? The coaching wasn’t good, but the players are just as responsible for this. The line play wasn’t good on either side of the ball, and the drops and penalties hurt. This loss was on everyone

I agree it wasn’t entirely the coaches fault. They didn’t come out with any sort of intensity.

I didnt watch but the last drive where lock was stoned on fourth down. The box score shows a sizeable advantage for mizzou. shite happens, mizzou was a good team this year

I agree that it wasn't all just coaching but the above IS part of coaching. I'm gonna bet Saban, more times than not, can get his players inspired.

Early Saban teams got blown out in bowl games. I believe I saw that it was by a combined 90 points his first 4 years at Michigan State.

Why a Qb run to the strong side where there are more defenders.

Run to the weak side where is one LB one LB.

Yes. If they come or like they came out against Bama, they punch Okie Lite in the dick enroute to a blowout.

But part of coaching is getting your team fired up to play.

Flat stars are a BoDumb special.

So you think BO is better than Saban. Well now that I saw the light, give BO another raise. I do expect a national championship within 10 years, hell make it 5 since Saban is such a shitty coach by comparison.

Nope Saban is the best coach in college football history, but even he struggled early in his career in bowl games.

If BO ends up even close to Saban level, then he won’t stay at Mizzou long. Mizzou doesn’t have the resources to compete for championships consistently.

Lol. Barry doesn’t have the chops to compete for a championship. Let’s worry about him getting up to an acceptable level for Mizzou before we worry about the resources to compete for a national championship every year.

You could have said the same thing about Saban after his 4th season at Michigan State. Blown out in all 3 bowl games, had a record of 25-22-1. 7 wins was his best season.

I know we all want Mizzou to be good now, but sometimes even with great coaches it takes a few years. It’s still too early to say if BO is a bad, average, good or great coach.

It is too early to say he’s a bad or good coach. It’s not too early to say he’s not Nick Saban.

Wrong. I'd agree with you if you said it's too early to say if Odom WILL BE a bad/average/good/great coach. But one can absolutely grade him on the job he's done to date.

Based on his first 3 years BO is pretty similar to what Saban was his first 3 years.

Does BO learn from his mistakes? The way his teams have improved seems to indicate the answer is yes.

Saban’s record his first 3 years
6-5-1
6-6
7-5

And he went 6-6 in his 4th season.

I assume if you were a Michigan State fan that you would have been hated him as well and wanted him fired.

Michigan State went 5-6 the year before.
