To be clear, it would be incredibly stupid to fire Kim Anderson at this point

Howland was hired at Mississippi State. Alabama will offer Marshall far more than we will (and who knows if he even wants to leave Wichita State).

What other superstar head coaches are available right now?

Plus, our new AD hasn't made solid coaching decisions in the past. What makes you believe that he wouldn't just frick up the hiring process like he's done before?

FIFY

And before KA's 2nd cousin twice removed jumps me, I am kidding. KA shouldn't be and won't be fired this year.

What you did there, killz...I see it.

Careful...

And I don't think anyone wants to see him fired after this season.

Marshall will never come here and Howland was not offered last time even after he basically ask to be interviewed. The new AD has made bad basketball hires but unfortunately almost anyyone would be better than KA. He gets another year but he is already on the hot seat heading into next year. He needs to win a lot more than this year.

With the lack of a scorer or two on this team NO ONE could come in and coach this team to victory right now.

HCKA needs to get one of these superstars that will be graduating in the next 2-3 years. And a couple of pure 3 pt scorers. If not the KA era will fail miserably

The best thing we can do is pray that Ron Baker and Fred Van Fleet return for their senior seasons, leading Marshall to stay for one more. Also pray that Tom Crean stays at Indiana.

That gives KA one year to turn it around, or be fired.

Rhoades hired Kelvin Sampson. I'd reckon thats a pretty solid hire. Getting a coach who had been to Final Four and Oklahoma and coach at Indiana to come to Houston...thats a good sell.

I'm on the other side of this. I am hoping that KA decides to do what he does best, coach offense. He has a history of being a very good offensive coach.
Also need Gant, Wright, MGC, & Allen to take a similar if not better sophomore jump as did Clark & J3. Just that probably gets a 5-6 win improvement.
Then fill the holes in recruiting.
Need a shooter VanLeer? Wright
Need a guard that can break down a defense Phillips?
Biggest unknown will be on the inside not sure we have a chance on any immediate impact guys. Best hope may be that Gant & J3 develop physically and can play together 15-20 mpg.
Biggest hope is that Murray re classes and comes in as our starting PG next year.

He's a top 10-15 guard out of Canada that may decide to graduate early. Has some real interest in Mizzou from what I've read.

If by victory you mean contending for a conference title and a run in the tourney, I agree. If you are saying to double digit wins, I respectfully disagree.

Agree 100%. Some real talent coming out of Missouri in the next 2-3 years. Tatum. Cook. Porter. Tilmon. I'm sure I'm missing some.

Considering it's Houston, I agree 100%. Regardless of how he fares, that was a big name for Houston to score.

Considering Sampson probably wants back in the P5 game, he might be a darkhorse if Rhoades decides to move on from KA.

I'm Kinda convinced that KA sorta tanked this year on purpose. Although at the D2 level he usually had a top 50ish type of offense, while only slightly above average defenses.
He spent so much time on defense and so little on offense. Not sure why he would go away from his specialty. I'm looking for a greatly improved offense from Mizzou next year, and with that hopefully a big bump in wins.
