I normally don’t do this, but I’m pretty certain we passed on him.

Great place for him to spend a semester not going to class.

Good luck to him, but not Illinois.

From what I understand, if we had offered and he signed and did not qualify, it wou;d have taken a spot. Illini is desperate and can afford to take the risk he doesn’t get the waiver. We had too few spaces to risk it.

Maybe the coaches did not want to messed with this player due to past problems and might try to bring down Missouri because of who he is? I rather pass on him and Missouri is not in a need for another wide receiver. Also would rather use the spot for someone better on the second signing day.

Apparently he committed to the Illinois coaches over a month ago. I’m not too mad about his decision, he seems like he could have caused some issues

Per Gabe on PM:

"Missouri really didn't have room for him, but they would have taken him at first. However, as the process went on, it wasn't going to happen. Illinois is in a position where it probably needs to take a risk like this. Missouri isn't."

Everything I've heard says he doesn't play this year.

Sounds like Thomas may be heading back to South Florida.

Glad the staff avoided him.
