He should be. Recruiting classes don't mean sh*t when every good player leaves as soon as adversity hits. And with Mizzou, that's almost guaranteed.

Ya, I dont see why or what the point is. I wonder if he just cant relate or his selling pitch just doesn't work for players that's already been around the block. recruiting HS kids and recruiting transfers are two completely different selling jobs.

two things. I echoed this before, while expect a better product, the schedule is harder. My guess, this team next year win's 8 games with last years schedule.

Also I think the east is also much better than last year.

UGA - even
Tennessee - better
USC - better
Florida - Even
Vandy - even.

So While we got better- so did the east

My biggest issue with Drink is that he's not big on the portal. He would rather use his really good recruiting classes. The biggest problem with that, it takes most kids 2 years to get to the level in which is needed.

Did you watch any games last season? Drinkwitz is still learning and making some minor mistakes. Right now, I think the team is going to be much better. Players are not going to just pick up to go join on him without seeing much improvement from last season. That is why I am saying it is critical for the team to do well on offense and defense. Win at least 8 games is going help Drinkwitz get better players and get current players on the team to stay put. Then the portal will open up for Drinkwitz to get key players. Arkansas did very well because they manage to win 8 regular games. Drinkwitz needs to get the team to do what Arkansas did last year. Then recruits all around will take notice and give Drinkwitz a chance. I have faith in Drinkwitz will get it done this fall and the future will be much better.

One needs the talents to win 8 games, to get the talents to win 9 games, to get the talents....

Drinkwitz does have enough talents on the team to win 8 games. Look at Odom! He was getting almost all 3* talents and he won 8 games! So Drinkwitz can do it too! Just find a way to beat some teams and he did a heck of a job at Appalachian State. What made me a believer now is the new DC is going to be a much better coach than the previous one. Plus, with a much better defense the offense should be much better because of learning curve from the HC and coaching staffs plus the players are in a year in the SEC and some new recruits will be playing right away. Same for transfer portal players. What happened last year was a lost season and this one will NOT be a lost season. Got to have faith in Drinkwitz, coaching staffs and the players to make this year at least an eight-win regular season. Why are you not feeling good about this season?

Arkansas was not blessed with awe inspiring talent last year and we got to 8 wins. Its a question of getting the best result out of the talent you have. Not the talent you want.

I think Drink can win 8 next year, he may need some lucky breaks but Arkansas needed some of those last year.

I said it before and I will say it again, I think the most important game of the season for Missouri is against K-State. Spank them and you start the season hot. I'm not saying a lose ends the season, just that a hot start opens up a lot more possibilities for y'all.

Before you say "did you even watch any games last season", you should read my post first. Where did I question Drinks development or coaching ques? I said we've gotten better, and so did the east. Question that part, not if Drink has improved as a coach. You said this same shite last time I said the east has gotten better and so have we. I just don't understand it.

With everything else you said, I don't disagree, but its also not a pass for an excuse. Look at Nebraska, they finished #7 in the nation in the portal ranking. FSU #11, #13 TCU, they've all sucked the past few years. heck Ku is ahead of us. You're not wrong in that 8 wins would help, but Drink should have gotten a few more transfers.

Its less about getting the win against Arkansas, as it is about beating USC and Florida. UF again is way overhyped, which is why everyone has drawn up a L for us in that game already. USC has gotten better, but how much better? I dont think THAT much better, maybe the same improvement as we have from last year. Mizzou and USC are a 100% even toss up imo. I also don't think UK is all that great, heck we had that game down to the wire last year and we have it at home this year.

We win:

Abliene Christian
New Mexico State
South Carolina
New Mexico State

5 wins, no bowl.

And why South Carolina you say? Because I truly believe Rattler is a BAD qb.

Truthfully I can see 3-9 as our record maybe 4-8 with win over Vandy. Drinks seat should be on fire.

Brady Cook makes Spencer Rattler look like Tom Brady.

We’re not beating Vandy, It’s definitely 3-9 unless AC or NMS pulls an upset.

Lol we'll handle vandy.

Usc and UF will be toss ups. And given the rankings still, Uk isn't anything that im that worried about.

The ksu game was an issue. But as I said in this group before, I expected to lose that game, and I really didn't think it was ever going to be a good game. We did play worse than I thought we could, so that is concerning.

Baffles me how people cobtinue to overlook Kentucky. They are a tough team and are wayyyyyyy more sound then Mizzou.
