Which goal post will come down first?

I say the north end. Access to it is easier than the south.

If anyone comes on the field they should be shot.

Rushing the field would be embarrassing. While personally I think being the SEC East champs in our second season is good enough reason, the rest of the world won't see it that way. we are ranked #5.. we don't tear down field goals for beating a team that is barely top 25

Y'all are more confident than I am. I hope you're right, and we'll take it to A&M, but I'm just nervous. I'm a Mizzou fan.

And I really hope they do't rush the field and tear down goalposts. But IF they do, hope it's the north endzone that gets demolished. that cursed piece of ground should be burned, IMO.

I agree. I hope they don't rush the field. Fixing damaged goal posts costs money. And far too many students would wind up with pointless convictions on their record.

Assuming they win let's hope they don't rush.

North. It's crooked and it's cursed. It needs to be removed.

The reason for rushing the field is not because we beat aTm, it is because we clinched the SEC East. Duh.

If we win, those goal posts are coming down and going straight to Harpos.

it would be cooler to clinch on the road and then tear down the home teams goal post

Not really related to this thread, but the first time I went to Harpos was 2003. I was with my wife. At the time I was 31, and she was 32. I saw a doorman, and he said something to me as I walked in. I assumed it was "hello" or something and continued in. The guy grabbed me, and I am sure I shot him a "What the hell is wrong with you" look. After he asked for and I showed my ID, he said "I am so sorry, sir!" I felt like a total dick at this point, but it had been so long since I'd been IDed, it never crossed my mind.

That doorman took drink orders for my wife and me the entire night. I wound up tipping him on my way out.

Oh, and storming the field is lame in general. I think your need to "act like you've been there," even if you haven't. Then again, I am now an old fart.

I wouldn't mind if some fans stormed the field. Winning the division in the SEC is fine. And we don't need to act like we've been there. We're new to the SEC. We haven't been there. We haven't been to Atlanta. Nothing wrong with celebrating that. I'm not sure we need to be too cool for school.

I really don't care either way. What I don't get is all the resentment to people rushing the field. Who the frick cares? They're drunk and they're celebrating. So what?

Having said that, even drunk, I don't think I'd be one to do but then, I'm an old fart too.

Now the bigger question. How do we reverse the jinx that has been brought upon us by counting our chickens before the eggs hatch?

agree nothing wrong with having some emotion and rushing the field. we rushed the field in 97 after beating uf, then we rushed the field in 00 for beating tenn(before their death) and bama.

those are some good memories. the ut one because the goal post went down so quick and the bama one because everyone was throwing shirts at the goal post to take out the jelly so we could tear them down.

Sorry if it looked like I was replying to you. Just meant the general talk of tearing down goal posts before we've won anything.

North, it's right next to the low fence near the M.
