I get it, the WR group is young and are making mistakes/bad drops but what excuse does the O-line have for getting beat like they have all night? Because last time I checked we have experience and talent so what the hell is going on? A.J. Ricker I'm looking at you.

They're gonna get raped in conference play.

Dude, I ain't all that upset. Just calling a spade a spade. This OLine has been an open sieve against an FCS team and a Sun Belt or whatever team. I truly believe that UT and UF and UGA have better DLines.
Do you believe ASU and SEMO have better defenses than those teams?

There's a reason we have 4 OOC games before conference play

We're going to be OK just calm down. This is the time of year to sort shite out.
We're the 2 time defending East champs for a reason.

yea that's the official company line excuse we will hear from the so called experts like Gabe and Dave and of course the coaching staff.
and yet those of us with eyes know Mauk is still making horrid decisions much of the time, the Oline appears to have no clue what theyre doing, we apparently can't recruit/coach Rb's anymore, and the entire Offensive scheme just looks horrid.
but yea...
"young receivers"
sure, sure, thats the problem!

Agreed. It's one the XII ideas I wish we could hold onto.

Mauk made 2 terrible decisions, which led to 10 ASU points. But I didn't see him as the problem with the offense. The running game is nonexistent, and his receivers dropped to many balls. Not all of them were perfect passes, but all were good enough that the need to be caught.

I had an uneasy feeling about the line when they had to move McGovern to tackle. That really weakened the interior of our line.
Maybe it's time to think about moving him back and seeing what Cuellar or Rhodes can do on the outside.

He made more than 2 terrible decisions. Those were just the ones that turned into INTs. He escaped phantom pressure again last night on multiple occasions.
His receivers did not do him any favors. And the non-pick pick call was a ridiculous nonsensical indefensible call. I'd like to get clarification from the league on that one.

Mauk also stepped up several times. In ways that he wouldn't last year.
Bottom line is as of now he is the best QB on the team. And is the type of QB that needs lots of help from his playmakers. He didn't get that help last night.

I'm with Reedus on this one. OL is a hot bloody mess...now. Improvement is possible.
Ricker has issues as a coach and with his unit. Pinkel better get 'em going now.

while the coaches say "never argue with the refs" (sometimes they tell you that's their job), after seeing that replay, I could not blame Culkin one bit for giving the ref an ear full. That call was absolutely horrid.

I know you don't see it, but it's actually there.
If we had middle passing game that actually worked, the run game would get better by default.
It's just the way it works.

There's lots more obvious and glaring issues on offense than Mauk.
Ranking them would go like this:
1. OL
2. RB
3. WR
4. Mauk.

Agree with your ranking. But the problem is if only one of those "units break down" the entire play is blown/off/messed-up. My guess is that the TE's are the only unit playing somewhat consistent football.
