Now we'll cheer for our cross-state neighbors to beat the Tigers tonight.

I've lost hope for the cards taking Detroit. I hope Detroit finishes them sorry assed birds off tonight. It goes to show just how tough the American League Central really is. Cards had the best record going into that series. Now not so much. I'll be at the Sunday game this coming weekend to watch the rest of those redbird feathers get plucked out.

Nice win today! GO ROYALS!

By the way, are we really the only 3 consistently active Kansas City posters on this board?

Consistently active is the key phrase, but I stand with the Royals!

All good, but I can only handle so many obsessions at once,

I have to prioritize.

The AL better thank god you are not loaded with front end pitching like some other AL contenders because no one would stop you if had some of the staffs atop the AL.

GAWD! Guthrie. 8 run 1st inning. An all time new high (or low). An to anyone but the spankees.

Yost acted like he didn't know what to do. I know what to do. Yank Guthries sorry arse, send him out to pasture with Duffy for a while and bring up a young pitcher or Dayton needs to start working on landing at least one trade down.

Begeezus that was a hard inning to watch today.

It was horrible but I still have faith in Guthrie. Call me crazy, but he's a smart and gutsy (pun intended) veteran pitcher.

Duffy on the other hand...

Just figured out whats going on. Apparently, SI ran a cover on the Royals. There it was bigger than ever, Hosmer on the cover. Damn SI jinx yet again.

Well Vargas pitched pretty well. Except for the one mistake, he looked good.

These umps strike zones are getting tight. Not calling the corners consistently. Makes you put the ball over the plate at some point.

Alright...y'all need to recommend a KC Royals hat for me to wear when I move back to Texas soon. Never really got into either of the Texan MLB teams, so Imma be #ForeveRoyal when I get down to San Antonio (well, Royals and the minor league SA Missions ).

Been looking at these two so far, but I'm open to suggestions:

Both of those hats are sharp. Does the second one have the AL logo, too?

I'd go with the top one. Has the powder blue bill and AL logo, looks badass. That's my pick.

Both Texas teams are tearing it up right now. I kind of like the Astros. They remind me of the Royals. A team that is NOT suppose to be competitive but is, is sneaking up on the post season, but not as much as the Royals did, and they're young and got nothing to lose and everything to prove. I really like them. If the Royals don't make it, I hope the Astros do.

No, it just has the "Royals" script logo across the back.

Dat powder blue/AL logo combo is hard to top

Yeah, I'll always hope the Texan teams do well (seems they're rarely good at the same time ), but next time I go to Minute Maid Park, I'll be in Royals blue

Planning to make one more game at the K sometime in June, too. Aggiebelle and I like that ballpark
