I would disagree with Mich St or Florida. Not really UCLA either. Arizona has a good argument.
Again, my point was not that we are definitely the 3rd most talented team in CBB, rather that we have a good argument for it.

I'm in my early 20's and I'm pretty sure JQ is older than me. I'm graduating with a bachelor's degree in IT this spring. This is my last full school year as an undergrad at Mizzou and then I get to join you old shits as an angry old Mizzou alum who bitches about our football team every fall Saturday.

I think you're pretty close. I see us finishing 3rd or 4th in SEC. Maybe 8th or so seed in tourney, 25 win max. A sweet sixteen would make it a great season , but don't see it happening.

That's awesome man. I envy your age but wouldn't give up my life experience or wisdom that comes with it.

The highest anyone has us ranked right now is usatoday at 24. To say there is an argument for us being 3rd at this point...

How in the world could you not be a fan of Zo?
He's been a revelation thus far.
His track record speaks for itself. He hasn't been a great coach. He has solidly been above average except for his last year at Tennessee. Hopefully his new offense can put him over the top. He has usually fielded good defensive teams.
As for what he has done at Mizzou so far I give MPJ far more credit for that than CCM right now. I think there were likely a few options for the coaching hire that still put MPJ at Mizzou.
I hope CCM continues to capitalize on the situation. He has essentially won the lottery in this whole situation. He now has a job with the nicest on campus facility in the country, a sold out arena with a waiting list for season tickets moving forward, the #1 player in the country, great local recruiting bases, etc.
All he really has to do right now is not screw it up and he will do very well at Mizzou.

Did anyone follow MOKAN? Did they run a motion offense or was it the Porter show? What about High school? If this team gets a handle on the Hoiberg Motion Offense the talent looks better. If the offense is a bad fit, the talent looks bad.

His problem has been that he's been all about defense more than offense.(Gene Keady prodigy)
That's why he hired the assistants that he did is to center mainly on offense. As long as CM leaves the offense alone and just center on teaching defensive strategies and leave the offense alone we will be cool as the guys learn to play together and the speed of the game.

Win 20 games bare minimum. Provide an exciting BB atmosphere not seen here in years. Growing pains but clear talent on display.
An March tourney appearance. Their are a crap shoot unless you're a vet team so just getting to the dance would be a very good accomplishment:
If they play UK close I'd be over the moon .

You still underestimate UNC. We lost a lot of front court depth and size last two years but our back court will be very good. Plenty of ACC teams are returning good talent.

What's your baseline?
If I'm not busy later I'm going to do a little roster analysis.
Right off the cuff, I'm going to say that I disagree with several of those but we'll see.
247 does a talent ranking, but it doesn't look like its out for this year yet.

It's kinda best to just let JQ do the JQ and ignore it.
I agree COU, nobody creates excuses by lowering the bar like JQ. That being said, it is exciting knowing we have a coach who can recruit top athletes and we will see if he can coach them up to success. This is in direct contrast to dull BO who cannot even recruit in-state (or anywhere) and who we know coaches down mediocre talent to unfathomable depths.

Win 20 plus games
Punch a ticket to the big dance
Anything above that is a nice bonus.

Lol.
Can you guys decide exactly what it is you two want to go after me for?
Expectations too low.
Expectations too high.
Which one?
OR could it be that I've rustled you both to the point that it doesn't matter what I say it's going to get you all a fluster.

I'm not going after you. You're just a Mizzou board troll at this point. Nothing more.
