We are what we are. Some of that is a program issue. Some of it is a Barry issue.
I would be very surprised if Barry reaches what Pinkel accomplished. And I’m not talking about number of games won. I’m talking about actually winning anything. He can’t even win bowl games.
Well considering Pinkel is likely the best coach in program history you are really going out on a pretty big limb here

hundreds of Jesus/lefty's posts about how awesome he gonna be.
How many posts will we have about how bad the new coach sucks in that same timeframe?

My point was that Pinkel had some success that Odom won’t have. This demonstrates that the upper boundary of success for Odom isn’t a Mizzou issue. It’s a Barry issue.

I understand, but again what Pinkel did is unmatched. So you’re basically saying that Odom won’t be the best coach in program history....ok
But here’s the rub, you don’t KNOW that. Everyone, and to a man, was convinced Pinkel would never accomplish what he did in year 4 either. That’s a fact.
I have serious doubts too, but I don’t KNOW.

Which is part of the rrason we will have 2-3 more years of this shite before we start rebuilding again.
N joy

I’m built for this, unfortunately
I’m sick of this shite too. Trust me. I much prefer this board being dead because it means we are winning.
I’ll hope BO can improve and continue to support the program as much as I can. There is literally nothing else I can do.

What the main reason for the two losses to unranked teams? Quarterback was nowhere near as good as everyone says when he picked to go to Missouri. I thought he would get better each week. I was wrong! He is not that good! Wow! He was making boneheaded mistakes like he was a rookie! I am glad he is only playing this year and is gone. Look what some other teams have done with a rookie quarterback! Much better than Bryant. One other thing I see need to improve is depth at all position. Kicking was bad too! That also cost Missouri those 2 games. So the quarterback is first fault then the kicker. Losing star LB is going to hurt Missouri the rest of the season. Also coaching is not up to par as well. It might be that some players are not 4 or 5 stars and is not ready to be great players to compete against other teams that have 4 and 5 stars players.
Overall I think Missouri need 2 more years to fix all that. If not then Missouri will ended up near the bottom soon. Got to improve recruiting as well as making sure get the right talents that fit in Missouri system. Bryant did not fit in the system. I am no expert but I am giving what I am seeing what is going on with the team. If Missouri does not beat Florida and/or Georgia then it will be a long season! I am not sure if Missouri will beat Kentucky!
Also those costly penalties! I would be happy to wait for next year with the other transfer or Bazeliak to take over the starting quarterback role.

I do know that. There’s too many data points out there.

This board isn’t dead when we are winning. It’s dead when we are winning games that don’t mean much.
Though that’s about all that’s happened for quite a while.

Now this is some arrogant bullshite lol
No you don’t.
You knew it with Pinkel too. How’d that turn out?

I’d like to let the season play out. Everything is still in front of us. His defense is in a good place as well IMO. That being said I didn’t watch the second half from last night, not sure I want to either, lol.

Meh, this board is usually fairly quiet unless peeps are bitching....We beat KY and we’re sitting at 6-2 with big games ahead of us.
Side note SEC officiating was interesting yesterday. Not really talking about the MIzzou game either.

I knew what with Pinkel? That’s right. You don’t know what I thought about Pinkel 15 years ago.

The SEC officiating was trash.
We’re not beating Georgia on the road if we can’t beat Wyoming or Vandy on the road. We could still potentially win at home versus Florida. But we will lose at least one of Tennessee, Kentucky and Arkansas and maybe two. We’re looking at 6-6 to 8-4. 8-4 should have been the absolute floor of this schedule.

Lol, of course I do. Now you’re just lying.
TO A MAN.
Now, since you want to spin tall tales...make up something you saw during Pinkel’s first few years that led you to believe he’d have multiple 10 win seasons and division titles. I’ll wait

I’m not sure what you’re arguing. But as usual, you aren’t either. I didn’t want Pinkel fired at this point in his tenure and I don’t want Odom fired at this point. The earliest Odom could likely be fired is at the end of next season and for that to happen, he’d have to underperform mediocre - like 4-8 or 5-7.
Odom isn’t a great coach. He may still become a good coach. And good is good enough for Mizzou.

You said you KNOW what Odom can and can’t accomplish. Of course, you don’t.
I then said you KNEW what Pinkel could accomplish at this point in his tenure too, which of course you did but are for some reason lying about it. Probably because it proves you don’t KNOW about Odom either.
I never said anything about firing him, but without any doubt you were saying the exact same things you are saying now.
So I’ll ask again, what was it you saw out of Pinkel through year 4 that led you to believe that there were multiple 10 win seasons and division titles in store????

Well good to know that you know the future.

The same people that “know” now “knew” then.
We see how that turned out.

So, BO Spit the bit at least twice now, which he has done every year. He'll finish middle of the Division, like usual. IF the NCAA lets us (And they have no incentive to do so) we'll go to a mid level bowl, like usual. And get gut stomped. Like usual. I see little mental discipline or toughness in his outfits.
This is what BO is, and I believe it is what he will always be. If you're comfortable with that, fine.
NEXT year looks really scary though.
