Great.
Now that beaker gnat on the main forum will chirp until kingdom come.
This isn’t a tournament team.

defensive approach
Im not sure there is one. SEC play is going to be brutal.

I switched to FB after Gates called a TO 2 min into the 2nd half. I love defense no matter the sport and this shite is impossible to watch.

Ditto. Bad ball is no fun.
it's going to be a long winter for MU fans.
So, who's the new OC?

He’s a failing real estate agent in Wichita. Like every real estate agent in Wichita.
My daughter was interviewing with their pediatric residency program a few years back while I happened to be in Wichita. She Facetimed me after the Zoom interview was over and said that the current residents said that Wichita was really nice.
I flipped my camera around while I was driving through Wichita. She said, “ugh.” I said, “Exactly.”
Think of what it’s like to live in Emporia or Hutchinson. It’s got to be Hell on earth.

Emporia is great. My in laws lived there a few years. It is a great small college town and affordable nice houses. I would not hesitate to live in emporia.
Wichita is a straight up ghetto hell hole.

This.
Had a consulting role with Koch industries a while back.
Best food in Wichita was at the Koch cafeteria.
Downtown was a dump and couldn't wait for those 6 weeks to be over.

Team can’t sell tickets apparently. This popped up in my Instagram feed. Good SEC games (allegedly) with 100 Section tickets available.

Gave up my 100 section season tickets this year when the football ticket donation did not carry over for Bball tickets, plus looking at the crappy non-con schedule. I did get a couple of these Saturday SEC Saturday tickets a few weeks ago-100 section seats for a total of $1000. If I would have kept my season tickets it would have been over $3000. Not sure I made a good purchase after the last 2 games......

You could feel the wheels coming off watching live. I decided to dredge through the snow with ~2 min left to go watch elsewhere... I had 0 shock to learn we were down 7 when I arrived.
On the bright side, my emotional hedge bet was the easiest money I have ever made.
Gonna be a long year on the hardwood. buckle up (or turn off the TV).

Update for last nights win.

Somehow the team seems to be regressing. They were looking pretty solid starting the 2nd of of Minnesota up until the ND game. I was getting some mild hopes for them.
Now it seems the wheels have become square.

Gates who we thought he was ... having coached at Cleveland State, from the Leonard Hamilton FSU/AAU tree.
Someone on another forum mentioned that when we had Snyder ... our non-con was crazy tough to get the team ready for Big 12/tourney ball.
Gates either doesn't have the relationships or has an "aim small, miss small" mentality when it comes to scheduling and no one wants to watch these 250+ Net Ranking games (being honest, I've stopped watching until they play teams with a pulse).
In the games I have watched ... his roster construction and pre/ in-game coaching skills are terrible. Sure it seems like he is a players coach and the players love him ... but that won't win a lot of basketball games.
I can't see Crowe, Bryant and Chronister wanting to come to Mizzou next season to play 10 blood donors when they can go to other schools and play meaningful games before January.
I'd guess if next year's class falls apart, gates will be fired after 26. If he keeps the class together, he'll be fired in 27.
2 more long years of garbage basketball ... at least we have football now

We’re 8-4.
We need a big win of some kind next year.
