Seems to be working out pretty damn well at this point.

Yes... One of the better melts IMO lol

Whatever he's selling the QB's are buying into

We went from questions at QB next year to Bryant Robinson Blazelak in less then 2 weeks.

Does Dooley stay after next year?

Honestly, from the interview I heard today he doesn’t sound like a guy who really wants to be a HC again.

If he can produce another good offense next year though, I’ll bet he’ll be in high demand as an OC. He and Odom seem to have a good relationship. Like anything, we’ll have to be willing to pay if someone comes calling

I was completely against the Dooley hire; i wanted the UCLA oc. It was too uncertain. A guy who never coordinated? insane hire.

So glad I was wrong. This has been an unbelievable week where We would have focused on tre williams as an oh-so-Mizzou story and instead we get 2 power 5 qbs on consecutive Tuesdays. It actually feels good to be a Tiger fan in December. Its weird.

That's my take too....the part about BO having to do stupid shite bc he's HC was funny....."yeah good luck Barry, go take care of that....I'll be watching film"

I think Dooley has realized that he does not have to follow in his dad's footsteps. If you are having fun, making good coin, and you are doing a very good job at OC then be an OC.

If he does well this year, Saban will get him knowing he will stick around Bama for awhile.

I don't buy it. While he's saying he's happy now, he alluded to "never say never" if you read between the lines.

He's enjoying his current position, but we can't blame him if he gets another chance at HC somewhere. (which I'll bet he will)

Being the offensive coordinator at a major program is kinda like being the second string qb. You get all the benefits of the program without having to deal with the fans or media scrutiny. There is some scrutiny, but it's not major. I don't see him being a head coach again.

Saban has his radar always locked into guys like this for when his assistants leave. Especially since Dooley knows the SEC.

Dooley was nowhere near my first choice or even on my list but it was easy to see why it was worth a shot for Odom. Dooley still blew a couple games early in the season but overall he was OK.

Doing OK in the SEC is pretty damn good for a first year OC.

Obviously Dooley stays as long as the money is good. But that typically doesn’t bode well here at Missouri

I wasn't terribly concerned about play calling and his concepts. Coaching QBs was my big concern. Getting Garrick McGee was an important addition and will be moving forward given the direction positional recruiting has moved.

I wonder if they’ll move McGee into a full time role and flip he and Dooley’s responsibility?

I also thing Carta Samuels has a positive impact on that room

I actually thought it vwas a good hire and not really shocked at the results so far. Any time you can add a coach to your staff with prior p5 head coaching and NFL experience, its a positive thing.

IMHO, we have Dooley for 3 more years. We lost Heupal to UCF because his offense had the same concepts that Frost ran. Like Dooley says, he runs the "Mizzou" offense using the weapons Mizzou has in place. This will develop into the "Dooley" offense in 3 years and that will be a selling point to a power 5 AD. As an added benefit to Mizzou, Odom will become known as a "Head Coach Maker" so he should attract young, innovative candidates for OC.

Not me! I was very happy to see him at Missouri and knew he would be good. Also he is better than Heupel! Look at UCF recruiting! Missouri is much better!
