What part of this season has looked better than Barry Odom’s tenure?

In my opinion - none. This team is vying for for top 20 worst teams in the history of Mizzou football.

Barry Odom isn’t the right comparison. It’s irrelevant.

He asked to be fired. Our AD obliged.

The same AD who’s not here anymore for not being able to get along with people?

If you want to compare. Compare it to Odom’s first year and his shite hire of Cross.

If you ask your boss to fire you, many will oblige. And not getting along with Choi isn’t particular to the former NCAA AD of the year.

You insisted. Then didn’t like it. Wanna be an Odom fan? He’s still coaching.

If you keep comparing to the previous first year where does that get you?

We weren’t nearly this bad in odoms last year. This is starting to look like Chad Morris at Arkansas

Horrible take I lived in Arkansas during Morris they were getting skullfricked by teams like North Texas. This is all on the programs worst D. The offense has regressed but the stench of the D is bringing all down.

You might be right but the offense from an offensive master is offensive.

IDK. We also know that somehow we apparently don't have big men on the team, at least the D side. This must be on weightlifting coach to some extent, but it also must be on Odom's recruiting too. Maybe the COVID year threw everything off. Maybe Drink didn't know SEC ball was going to be so hard. Maybe Drink picked a bad DC, maybe the D players are bad, maybe they don't have the horses for the defense to work. The offense isn't great, isn't bad, it's ok.

What we do know is Drink hasn't been a HC for very long. We know if we want to really compete in the SEC we have to fundamentally do a complete rebuild and recruitment overhaul of Mizzou football. It's ok. It will take at least another couple years. Sure recruits may waver but that is all part of the game that Drink is selling. If he has a plan and believes it will work then there is nothing for us to do but wait until he has more of his players.

As time goes by it becomes interesting to see how great Pinkel really was. Imagine what he could have done if he could have recruited into top 15 or so.

No it’s not.

Odom’s terrible recruiting is the top reason we are where we are. Not the only, but the biggest one.

Drink is the best recruiter we’ve EVER had. That’s the difference and it’s a big one

Funny. Two years ago at this time you were the world class Odom ball washer on this site and it wasn't even close. You were on an island of one. And if you don't think Luther Burden picking up the Georgia hat instead of Mizzou's could have a ripple effect on this class I don't know what to tell you.

Another couple of listles, one-sided skullfrickings and nothing would surprise me.
