It's homecoming and the offense produced 24 points. Why not?

Don't you love it when he says "it cant be easy all the time?" Gary its Vandy you should beat the worst team in college football convincingly at home. If it were south carolina I would agree with him even though they're down.

Yeah, yeah. We won. He knows he has a flawed team and he'll do his best to squeeze out as many victories as possible.

What do you want him to say?

I'd like him to be honest so he will get fired.

Vandy isn't the worst. A certain school school to the west of us has that distinction.

Also, how far back do we have to go to find a better record than Pinkel at Missouri? Before you say "it doesn't matter," or, "it was different because," don't bother. A coach either finds a way to win the games in front of him or he doesn't.

It may be an unpopular opinion, but IDC if we won this game by 1 in overtime or we were up so big we had our 3rd string playing by halftime; a win is a win and they all count the same towards your record.

I think everyone (well, maybe with the exception of one) agrees and will take a win, no matter how you get it. At this point, this team is what it is. Oh, and we did become bowl eligible with that win. We're 2 wins away from 8 wins, the same number as most all of our QB's in their first year. So there is that. And we have UK, UT, A&M and Arky left. All winnable games.

The team showed solid improvement in a win vs a team that uncharacteristically played disciplined football for 60min. Vandy executed a damn good gameplan and kept the game somewhat close. We were shutting down the running game at the expense of covering TEs and they were able to exploit it but not enough to win. We had no tape on this QB and that is usually doom for an MU defense. Vandy did a lot of good things they hadn't been doing and they should get credit for that.

The best thing about the win was the D made a ton of mistakes they don't normally make and still had a good day. There are a lot of things to be happy about with this win. If vandy QB can continue to play like that now that there is tape on him, Vandy will be competitive in most of their games the rest of the way out.

We have up 240 yards. The defense, again, was stellar.

no doubt..

what I don't want him to say is just the nonsense he trys to pass off as "it's not as bad as it looks" and just some issues of not playing well enough in some areas.

That win was as satisfying as kissing your sister. Oh well. I will be happy with 2 wins out of the next four and utterly shocked if we win all. Mauk actually looked better. Some have pointed out 8 wins is a good standard for a first year starter. We did lose 3 great WRs and very few receivers can actually catch the ball. I feel so lukewarm about this team.

Why is it that offense is all that matters when it comes to judging a team?

The one positive I took from the game, was at 3pts ahead, with 2min left, it was in the hands of the offense to win the game.

I was not comfortable with this. Any punt at this point would have kept the momentum with Vandy.

But the offense did come thru and score.

mixed feelings on this, Defense has scored nearly at the rate of the Offense of late.

It's likely Vandy and UFl are the two easiest conference games we'll have this year, gotta step it up if we want to stay out of Shreveport.
