I think thats gone or was a perception. He's a well grounded nice kid.
He was only one of two or three players that came to Kaufman stadium for Mizzou day to sign autographs besides Truman.
There's only one Tank on this team......When Berk can do this .....

I'll concede the fact.
Dude, I could care less if he went to Iceland to sign autographs. And could care less how nice of a kid he is...
He's a hypocrite. He preaches on his twitter and then gives up during games, drops his head and folds. If I wasn't a Mizzou fan it would actually be hilarious.
Landry Jones doesn't seem to have a problem with letting Bell drop the shoulder for short yards... neither should Franklin. If anything it should be Landry complaining, at least he has somewhat earned it.
James has been everything but a leader this year, his performance aside, his personality has been the opposite of a team leader. Now he gets a rise out of you guys by acting fired up 10 weeks into the season.

I like our chances. But we'll have to have a stellar day on both sides of the ball to make it happen.
If we put together a complete game - 38-31 Mizzou. If we don't - 42-27 Vols.
Oh - and the latest Tigerboard rumor is that Pinkel will retire at the end of the season because his gf is pregnant. Not sure where people come up with this stuff.

Coaching Changes Board...

I read that today too. I've read this more than once on there. Just waiting for mubobby to confirm...

I think mubobby does have some actual connections - he's right way more often than not, fwiw. But yeah, that one sounds suspect. At least I hope!
And if that one were true, I'm sure Pinkel's kids would be just ecstatic. Nothing like getting a new brother or sister younger than your own kids.

I was actually serious about that. He's been right about most everything he's posted. DGB cemented his status.

I hope MU drops the whole 'family' thing..
Pinkel shite on his real family.. that whole tag line is just hokey now with no meaning. I hope that dies out.

He's a hypocrite why? Because you follow his tweets and what he says there does'nt transfer to the field? So now he's a hypocrite? I'm not going to set here and list out all the reasons why things don't always go your way on a football feild for a QB, but it does'nt make him a hypocrite. I've had serious knee injuries, concussions, busted ribs, bruised shoulders and performed with them. It's not easy. It does limit your performance. It's a matter of regaining the trust of your body. I understand what he's went through and he's went through alot worse than I.

It's called being competetive. Maybe LJ does'nt have as a competitive drive as JF.?????

Again, how much of this is his fault? Should he have started the season when he did? The immense pressure to perform at this level would crack most peoples psyche that are 100% healthy. To do it playing injured is on a whole nother level. To know that a whole team hinges on your play, every play, no mistakes and facing the top competition in college. Doing it with a patched up O-line with barely any playtime together. Recievers who drop balls and a OC that did'nt want to vary away from his game plan and lack of creativity in play designs.
It's a tall order. It's not easy even for top performaing QB's who are 100%. Think Jizz Jar Johnny would be having the year he's having with our O-line in front of him? I hardly doubt it.

Him going to KC to sign autographs was great.. I'll retract, he's a fantastic leader because he went all the way to KC to sign autographs. A swell young man indeed.

His injuries and even his performance have nothing to do with why he is a hypocrite. This was made clear when I said "performance aside". If you preach about life the way he does then he should have the fortitude to not pout his way off the field and play entire games with depressed body english.. If he practiced what he preached, then he would keep his chin up and be an emotionally sturdy leader for his team, no matter how bad he is playing.

Nah. He very well may be more competitive. But for sake of the argument, if you sit out a game with a bruised shoulder (even cleared by med staff) you lose the benefit of the doubt on that one. And if you asked any SEC fan to describe JF they'd use a synonym of lackadaisical. So no, that is a horrible point.
It astonishes me how people misconstrue things so easily. You took what I said completely wrong. You responded as if I was simply dogging on the performance of Franklin... which I even made clear was not a factor in my opinion.

Sure the kid has no history of leading comebacks when things have went wrong..bullshite he has been horrible this year but he has a history of good endings to tough starts..Tech, kU, Texas, A&M etc..

Just bought the pay per view out here so i'm predicting i'm gonna be quite angry at the end of the game.
Actually my wife told me we're having a baby yesterday so even though I've already had my cell phone stolen this week and the Tigers are disappointment artists, I don't think this could be a bad day!

Hmmm. Maybe at that point it's what a team leader would do. Put hismself out in front. Show fans the team appritiate thier support. I think that would be classified as leadership. It was probably somthing he did'nt have to do. But if you want to set around all day and nitpick why.......

To the contrary, it has everything to do with it. Think about it for awhile.
