The Tigers will want to hire a new coach quickly to settle fans’ and recruits’ nerves. Here are a few names fans should keep in mind during the search

My #1 and only reason not getting freeze, We're gonna have to start all over again on the OC search after his one and done season with us.

Harrell is probably only a year or 2 away from getting his first HC job.

Gone are the GP days with staff continuity. We should get used to replacing a couple assistants every December.

Ya those are long gone, Id still like to see a coach commit for at least 2 years. And I feel like most will, but its almost guaranteed Freeze is gone after one year.

Good lord.

BO will not hire Hugh Freeze. For the life of me, I can't figure out why anyone would even want him.

1. He's vastly overrated.

2. There are quality candidates that aren't complete pieces of shite.

His teams have never run the ball consistently. Ballerina ball doesn't work.

We can win without hiring a piece of shite.

Agreed...those days are probably gone in today's climate. Harrell is a guy that intrigues me for sure.
Just a great big HELL NO on Sleeze...I mean Freeze...not a guy I would want anywhere around my 18-22 yr old son. (or daughter for that matter).

Except for probably 1 person.......Andy Hill. He's been at Mizzou for 22 yrs; pretty sure he ain't going anywhere.

It's gotten to the point you want people pushing you to give your assistants raises every couple of years.

Other teams wanting your assistants means they are doing something right and your team is probably winning.

This is a posting in PM that I did not write. But I stand with him. It's the truth.

"We've pretended like we wanted to be big time for years now.

Well, hiring Freeze is what the big boy programs would do. So anybody that's bitching not to do it, don't ever bitch again about us not being a program that matters. You can't have it both ways.

Sign me up for Freeze if that's what Odom wants to do."

Freeze would be good for Lock and the offense, but he brings to much baggage.

How can you trust that guy? You think Sterk wants to be in the position of defending Freeze the next time he gets caught cheating or lying?

I wouldn’t trust him. He is still a good OC, but I hope it is not at Mizzou

Why are no "big boy programs" after him then?

If he was such a hot commodity then we'd have no chance of signing him. He hasn't been linked to any other SEC program (or any other for that matter) that I've seen.

Why is that?

There are plenty of quality coaches out there that don't come with the baggage that he would bring. The flames are still burning on the fire that was set to the ole miss program under his watch. Why on earth would anyone want to bring him into their program?

It's crazy. The funny thing is it's like his baggage has actually elevated his profile amongs our fans for some reason.

If you just looked at his OC record you'd say meh, maybe. But since he's broiled in controversy it's "we have to get dirty to win!!!"

It's fricking weird.
