Per Dave Matter.

It might stir up some renewed energy for the STL fanbase. I don't hate it.

stupid. I'm old and as an old person I have reached the point where any college game not played on campus is just idiotic (outside of playoffs/bowls).

Wasn't that game originally scheduled at Memphis? I agree about not taking a home game away.

The game was going to be @Memphis. This is a GREAT thing. DRF has been a revelation with scheduling. That’s two road games she got rid of that we had no business playing.

Regardless of my fandom of Mizzou, the game would be a better event held at Memphis instead of STL. These games just suck for college football as a whole. a 50% full dome is just an atmosphere killer.

Hell, even sold out games like Arky vs A&M at jerry world would have been a much better atmosphere at either campus stadium.

I don't love it but I don't hate it.

I would really like Illinois vs Mizzou to be a thing there.

This is a great move by DRF - she has made a fan out of me with her adjustments to schedule thus far.

Essentially stole an extra home game in our biggest recruiting ground/NIL spot.

We should be playing a game in the dome every year… (preferably against some better competition)

Exactly. We turned a road game into a pseudo home game and we still have people complaining lol

Thank you. What is the possible negative here? The NIL promotion alone is worth it. I don't understand so.e of you. It's like you don't want the program to get better.

DRF has done good. Not playing in September in Memphis outside in the heat is a good thing. Not having to drive to Memphis is even better. I will definitely be there.

This scheduling change gives us essentially 8 home games and the first four in the state of Missouri. That’s a great schedule for next season.

I'm good with it. I wonder how much she paid to get Memphis to agree to it?

She has pulled some rabbits out of the hat with the schedule. I think it’s huge to get something in STL. I agree that hopefully it can light a fire there with the fanbase.

Well done.

I guess you just don't like to be a Tiger. You keep putting anything positive to make it a negative situation for your own personal opinion. This also bring an opportunity for St. Louis and surrounding areas recruits to go to the game for recruiting tactics.

It might be a big hit with STL area recruits as well. I imagine East STL kids going across the river and playing in the Dome in front of family/friends would be a cool experience.

What? Can you say with a straight face that the half empty dome will provide a better game viewing experience for national TV compared to a game at Memphis? It just isn't good for college football in general.

This doesn't even get into my own personal preference when attending games I'd much rather go to another campus venue than go to a neutral site game. Road football games are the most fun of any sporting trip out there.

They tried, but the Cards are scheduled to finish a seven-game homestand there on Sept. 21, likely leaving too little time to reconfigure the playing surface for a football game less than two days later.

SEMO and SIUC last played there in 2013.

Ole Miss played at the half empty Falcons stadium in Atlanta this season. It'll be ok.

Sounds like you agree campus venues are better.
