Odom and Kul

Would you do it?

I would, recruiting is stagnant to poor and SEC has done nothing to improve that. We look poor across the entire offense.

We still haven't even been close to those ultimate goals. Pinkel has given his shots and it doesn't look like it would ever reach that level even with 20 more years of trying

I think Ricker and Henson should be fired tomorrow.

Pinkel can't be fired, he has earned that in my eyes.

I think he has 2-3 years left and should retire and let a younger guy with energy and a pair of balls take over.

But someone has to take the heat for the ineptness of this offense, it's the worst I've ever seen. High School teams play better.

Agreed. Pinkel's earned his spot in the big chair, but it's time for some heads to roll.

No way in hell do I fire Pinkel. Every coach has that shite, reload season. The problem is the blind loyalty to his asst.coaches who aren't SEC worthy, both in scheme and recruiting.

Nebraska was forced to fire Pelini because of his refusal to make changes, but the AD had booster support. I don't see that happening the Pinkel tho.

So why ignore what has been a constant and say no way you fire him?

Because he has built the program to the point that its ready for the next level. Now its time to fine tune I.e. consistent high caliber talent, updated schemes etc. Firing Pinkel means starting over. That's not needed.

Gary Patterson at TCU faced the same thing. He made the changes and you see the result. I believe Mizzou is at that same crossroad.

Friend, that sounds like exactly the same thing as what a person would have said in 2007-2008

Sometimes you have to be realistic though and understand it's not coming

OK well let's put it this way...who do we get to replace him? Realistically. Because you see what Nebraska ended up with. We don't have the money or name power for Fuentes, Willingham, Kiffin, who do we get?

I don't have an answer for that

I also didn't know malzahn or whoever Florida just hired were though either

This has run its course though and as much as we as fans get on pinkel for doing the same things while expecting a different outcome we seem to be of the same mold

I think Mizzou has a chance to contend for a Championship in 2017. The defense and offense should both be great at that point. Mizzou has a lot of talent, it's just ridiculously young.

Let's not all pretend like we expected Mauk to be suspended and the OLine to play like hot garbage this year. It's been a perfect storm of terribleness on offense.

What I do know is that 5 seniors should be able to play OLine.

Malzahn was at Arky State running his Deleware offense. He was rising up the ranks much like Fuentes is this year. McKelwain had been the OC at Florida before turning the Colorado State program around, so he went back home.

I don't know what you can base this on

The recruiting isn't there and as EVERY big game has shown us recruiting matters no matter how much some of the better coaches work with players

The defense will be just as good and the offense, if it's just average, produces an undefeated team this year.

We won't be significantly better next year. Our defense is really good. But they can't score 14 points a game. Our offense will be basically the same in production next year unless major changes are made.

I agree with Bassman. No way to look at this offense and see a diamond in the rough for next year.

We pretty much need to eject the whole offensive staff at this point, Pinkel needs to be told by Rhodes that will happen. We should not fire Pinkel as that will cause us to be blacklisted by top coaches. Things should not be done in season but right after the season, with the possible exception of Henson.

After several competitive years, it's not unusual to have a season that sees you take a couple steps back...but to fall, face-first into a sewer lagoon is ridiculous.

Are every single one of our offense players terrible athletes? If not, who is responsible for our mess, hmm??

I would be perfectly fine if they yanked the scholarship from every player on offense other than Lock and Fatoney. That's about how much I give a shite about this group. OL sucks. RB's suck. WR's can't get open and when do, can't catch it.

Yep, why I said 2017. We should be loaded on both sides of the ball. Brown and Moore will develop. We have good RBs and WRs that just need to get experience and some confidence. The OLine will probably be a shitshow next year, but by 2017 it should be figured out.

With this defense we just need a MEDIOCRE offense to win most games.

Athletic talent is nothing they can hide behind as a staff. They recruited this talent and it is on them to coach them up. You KNOW it is not Ivey as he has performed his magic for years. This is squarely on the offensive staff. Pinkel holds them accountable or he is held accountable. If anything nearing this shite show shows up next year he needs to "retire".
