To be honest, I'm the same. I don't follow the Cheifs as much any more because of time. I'll follow them again after the regular season for Mizzou ends.

correct those days are gone.
Now its a city that has a massive amount of young med school grads flocking to it. We're also becoming a hot spot for tech hubs.

I wouldn't laugh. They're stockpiling talent.

I regret creating this thread

That’s all perception. Kansas City and St Louis have basically the same job market and both are doing ok. They were both barely in the top 100 job markets for 2018 best places to find a job - both checking in in the 90s. KC at 94, STL at 98. If someone can actually notice that difference from anecdotal evidence, they should open a consulting firm and sell their expertise.

He's already a franchise QB...after one game?

He made his debut last year.

Yeah, I'm not going to argue about perception, because yours is obviously rosier than mine.
From my perception, you're pointing out that KC has now passed up STL. We used to compete with Chicago, Dallas and Atlanta. We now compete with KC, Indianapolis and Louisville.
In 1980, there were 23 Fortune 500 companies in STL, now there are nine. The tallest skyscraper in STL (AT&T Center) is totally vacant. Amazon almost immediately cut us from their list. STL is now one of the most dangerous cities to live in.
Some people might think I'm being harsh, but I'm being honest and tired of people burying their head in the sand. This town is still dying. And from that perception you can't blame the NFL from abandoning STL.

Over the last 25 years STL built ONE 27+ story building.
since 2017, STL is building three 28+ story building, not including clayton

Up until maybe 3 years ago, I was with you on that. Ive seen more progress in the last 2 years than the 15ish years I paid attention before that.

You're talking about the BJC Healthcare expansion, and that's it. 44 story AT&T Center is still vacant. Not aware of anything being built of high proportion in Clayton.
The one building prior to 2017 is the federal courthouse downtown.

I think you’re arguing St Louis city versus Kansas City. That’s not an argument.
But St Louis county is doing fine and will continue to do fine.

This thread has got way of track. I am not from either city, but I do have a few experiences in both.
1. St Louis is very difficult to navigate when you are not from the area and KC is pretty easy.
2. I recently went to Children’s Mercy KC Broadway and Children’s Mercy Overland Park. Both places were easy to find and much better parking than going to Barnes(better than any hospital in KC).
3. There is many new nice buildings in KC(didn’t notice any high rises).
4. Since 1950 St Louis City was one the top 10 most populated cities, but has seen a continuing decline. It has the highest percentage of any city in the US of white flight.
5. Look at the Metro area’s. 3 of the top 4 biggest cities in Kansas are in the KC metro and 3 of the top 6 in Missouri. KC metro is growing between 7% to 10%. St. Louis metro is growing between 3% to 5%. If the continue rate of population continues for each metro KC metro will soon overtake St Louis metro.
I like St Louis area and would rather live there, but it is a old city with not as much room to expand.

Well, I really don't know why you're still there.
Sounds like STL has turned into a dystopian wasteland.

I just really really really hate the NFL and kroenke for what they did, and any nfl talk reallllly gets me going.

Which is why the city and county need to merge, but that's never going to happen.

I understand, but 2 other posters aren't helping matters.

I don't follow the NFL at all so can't speak to your original post, sorry.
As to St. Louis, I think one problem is that Illinois doesn't care about East STL, but Missouri has no jurisdiction to improve ESL at all. Makes it very hard to fix STL city.
