Seems to be just awful.

I'm no football genius.

Is it:
1) personnel
2) scheme
3) combination

Little bit of everything, but y'all need to understand Mauk creates pressure that isn't there more than half the time by holding the ball or bailing to the sideline for no reason.

I think he bails to the sideline because he can't see.

Plus a severe lack of touch or accuracy in short passes, which eliminates the quick passing game.

The above two posts means he really has no future, even as a rollout, movement quarterback.

Sad for us.

I had wondered before the season if we didn't have someone who could play center, allowing us to free up Boehm. Too late now and probably not worth it unless he can play a tackle spot, which I don't know if he can.

Mauk's an alumunim bat home run hitter who can't hit for average.

That's the problem.

But to point the oline problem -- we lost a guy who is now starting on the defending super bowl champs and replaced him with averagish talent.

This. But Chase Daniel is about the same height and he moved just enough to see. Then again he would try to run over LB's when he ran the ball also.
