I'm all for a brinks truck to get Leipold. We get to send Kansas back to their trash status and get a proven coach

I'd also try to throw money at Smith at Oregon State and see if he'll leave his Alma mater. Heck, see if Elko would leave Duke with the ACC having issues going forward.

Smith would be a good one. He'll be wanting out of there.

Blake takes over as HC, everyone keeps their jobs and grab Steeples from LSU as DC. It's an easy fix.

We've already tried promoting a well liked DC with no prior head coaching experience. It didn't go well from what I recall

So Odoms shortcomings disqualify everyone else forever? That's ridiculous.

Correct. We're a desirable destination in the SEC. Leave the hiring of coordinators without HC experience to G5s and Arkansas. Also no more bald coaches in football or basketball, Odom and Cuonzo ruined that for all future candidates as well. I don't make the rules

We’re not getting anyone. Not yet at least. It might have been a shite show but I highly doubt DRF fires a coach for starting a season 2-0. If the shite show leads to a 5-7 record then all bets are off. And it’s not whether I’m for or against a change. Just don’t see it happening after 2 games

I would let the AD make the pick since she did a great job getting a coach from Cleveland State and he did a great job in recruiting and getting the players ready to play competition basketball. She will know who will be the right fit for Mizzou. Not just any HC to be hired. That is what she is doing right now.

What does that mean? She has done everything right so far. I trust in her decision making over any fans making a pick. She seems to know what she is doing.

This season is a brakeless bobsled headed for hell. There's no stopping it now. But when the last heaps of rubble have been cleared away: Is the MU BOR willing to pony up for a salary in the top 25% of CFB to get a winner?

History says no. They'll lowball and hope for bottled lightning. In my lifetime outside Devine and Pinkle, its been a whole lot of MEH or worse.

Different AD! Not like any other Missouri AD had in the past.
Plus, the technology to do more research on coaches. I see the huge advantage of her knowing other coaches and able to communicate with them. I have not seen any other Missouri AD do more like she has done so far.

AD answers to the BOR. They'll determine how much will be spent.

BOR is beholden to the mob of fans though remember before drink they presented 3 names and we damn near revolted and they quickly scrapped those names and pretended it was a news leak from an unreliable source.

That isn't the point the AD had hired two so far and one is a homerun hire. How do you explain that one that she knew him and had been in communication for a while before hiring him. If money is control by BOR then that isn't the reason for successful hiring of this basketball coach. South Carolina was the only one that interviewed him.
