I wonder will he ever get his explosiveness back since the back surgery?

Didn’t Griffin do the same thing after he went #1?

It usually takes 2 years to get it back after that type of surgery.

I'll be mildly surprised if MPJ ever amounts to much in the NBA.

He gonna be alright though. He'll get a nice fat rookie contract and he just signed an endorsement deal with Puma

If his back is healed, MPJ is the most talented offensive player in this class. If he has to take a redshirt year to healthy it will be worth the risk for an NBA team,

I'll believe it when I see it.

He looks like a high volume shooter who can't really defend a position

MPJ had an offensive rating of 120 in the peach jam. If healthy he’s the best offensive player in the draft. It’s not really close.

Well, he's not healthy. That's part of it. He may never be.

We don’t know his health status, if healthy he’s a top 2 pick.

Granted I’m not an elite level athlete but I had the same surgery and walked 5 miles the next day. No way does that surgery take 2 years to recover from unless there is more wrong. If there is more wrong, he may never recover to the level he was at.

There’s a difference between being able to walk 5 miles after the surgery and regaining strength the explosive athleticism after the surgery.

It was obvious in the games MPJ played in that he hadn’t regained his athleticism.

I said as much. Read it again.

I also said it doesn’t take 2 years to recover unless something else is going on. You are way off on 2 years for a simple procedure like this. Again, unless he has other things going on

I really don't think he will ever be the same again. I hope that I'm wrong.

Griffin had a knee injury and sat out his first year, but can you think of anyone who came back from a back injury? Pro sports and back injuries don't often mix.
