Anyone hear how this went? Saw on twitter a Creighton fan claimed they blasted Mizzou by 30 points. There's a post about it on Creighton's Rivals site but I can't see it without a subscription.

Would be embarrassing if so. I think Creighton has nothing but guys that have never played together before. Could be wrong.

Didn't Creighton get a guy we were after?

At any rate, we are winning 20 games minimum over the next 2-3 years.

We cooled on him I thought. Didn't fit our system.

Preseason KenPom Rankings are out, Mizzou checks in at 167, 6 spots behind opening opponent Wofford.

Saturday, Creighton had their "Bluejay Madness," and inter-squad game, slam dunk contest, etc. in Omaha.

No game with Mizzou.

Winning 20 games in 3 years?
I feel pretty good about that.

They most certainly did. Here's an article from a Creighton website talking about it on Friday of last week.

These were tweets from a Creighton fan site twitter account.

quote:

"Sounds like #Creighton's scrimmage with Mizzou went well today. Balanced scoring attack led by Huff, Milliken and Zierden."

"Multiple players scored 8+ points. #Creighton point guard Mo Watson with 10 assists and no turnovers. Jays won by close to 30 points."

Who knows in reality and who knows if they even track a score. I doubt it. But then I know the players have a good idea of who kicked whose arse.

Anyone who expects 10 wins is drinking the kool aid.

6-8 wins, 1-2 conference wins, Anderson is fired at the end of the season if he doesn't resign in the middle.

Scrimmage must be the best-kept secret since "Where is Jimmy Hoffa?"

At any rate, Creighton was 4-14 in the Big East last year. If they stomped us as bad as reported...I see wild-eyed crowds with torches and pitchforks in Kimbo's near future.

From what I've been able to find, the Creighton side did well so they're talking to their reporters about how the scrimmage went. It did not go well at all for Mizzou from the sounds of it, so KA and company are keeping radio silent. Not going to be a good year at all, but this is what happens when you can't recruit, don't address your needs, and lose your best players. I don't think KA survives the year.

We have a new group of freshman and sophomores.....not doing well in a early scrimmage means nothing. From what I have heard the chemistry on the team is much better and kids are ready to play. JW3 sucked. I am tired of people claiming he was our best player. Turnover machine, couldn't defend the post and wanted to play outside the paint.

Who is going to rebound on this team? Who is going to score?

The two things we were terrible at last year we are still terrible at. Expecting a group of Freshman and Sophomores to do anything this year is asking a lot. My expectations are as low as possible, that way if we look decent I can feel good instead of being pissed off that we won 15 games instead of 20.

10 wins would surprise me this year, I think we are going to be that bad.

If he'd stayed, we would've heard "JW3 - team leader in rebounding and points - will only be getting better." Since he left, we are left to pretend he sucked.
