Looks like crap tonight. A lot to work on before we play better teams.

To soon to tell IMO, they could be a very good team if everything clicks and they can stay healthy. Lots of depth. Tamar Bates looks like he could be what we expected Mosley to be last season - possible all SEC type player.

Not saying it’ll be the same as last year but this was a carbon copy of last years early non con games.

That is just dumb. Heading into last year, that team didn't look like anything worth watching either. Many players developed a lot under Coach Gates.

Hearing “mizzou wants to lead the country in 3 pt attempts and 3 pointers made” got old. Run an offense, cuts and screens, same as we saw last year. I think Coach is hiding the offense just like Drink earlier this year hahahah

1st half was good and we were 9-11 from 2pt land. 2nd half completely abandoned attacking the basket and got blown out.
If Gates thinks he can run freshmen out there to chuck threes and score at a high rate, this season will be a failure.
I dont think DCG will let that happen but he sure didn't look too interested in the game last night. Seemed like he was more focused on putting players in specific situations to see how they do/force some growth.

This squad is below average, no real scorer/go-to guy like Kobe/ Hodge ...
If a Cuonzo/Kim team were down by 20 with 10 to go on the road, we lose by 30+ ...

Ok. This team is garbage.
They might get better. There’s three or four guys who are anti-clutch.

Agreed.
Offense is garbage. Rebounding is worse.
I think Gates can get more out of these guys than Cuonzo, Haith, Kim ...
But the roster is pretty awful ...

Drinkwitz wasn't hiding the offense earlier because players had to learn the new system and most of it was the blocking that we saw made the difference to help open up the offense. That is what was missing early on and wasn't ready to use some of it and it held the offense pretty much the first half of the season.
