@PeteScantlebury: Emailed forwarded by Mizzou from the Chiefs: Going to be a press conf. at Arrowhead tomorrow for a "major college football" announcement.

3 games series with BYU. One home game each and one at Arrowhead.

Wonder if it'll be a series of games vs a KU, K-State, Nebraska or Iowa State. I know those aren't major games though.

Damn did Merlin1 guess that right or did he have inside info?? I thought the announcement was coming today, still don't see anything on it.

So Mizzou will have non conference games in the future vs Purdue, BYU, West Virginia, UCONN, and Memphis, not bad.

It hasn't been announced yet but this has been talked about on BYU and Mizzou boards for about a month.

I think we should do this with the Illini.. when they regrow the pair we removed from them..

(home, away, 1 in STL)

Hosick just got his chance at revenge, in his home city nonetheless.

From what little I have heard, Mizzou has no interest in playing the Illini. It is the STL sports board that wants that game but Mizzou has no interest as does Illini. It got too stale. It is a no win game for MU that can only do harm at this point.

Maybe arrange an alternate year challenge series.

Mizzou vs Big 10 / Midwest team @ St. Louis one year
Mizzou vs XII / Rocky Mountain team @ KC other year.

Edit: Although I know Alden's goal is 7 home games a year. Not looking likely looking at future schedules

Actually, it's neutral/away 2 game series. Why in the world do we do shite like this?

It's one away and one neutral??

Alden got bent over and turned into a BYU concubine.

exactly, IMO I see absolutely no advantage to playing in KC.

"Mizzou" is not just what KC fans hear, some of us actually like playing Illinois and playing that game in STL is still a win. Why would we have just offered to play Arky St there if it wasn't.

The Illini are still the premiere football program in their state and as a B1G school, recruiting well in STL is a key issue we need to continue improving on. It's only a loss if we hump the bunk and lose,, like we just did against IU. The same applies to BYU, we lose that game and we look like idiots for scheduling it, this "no win" bullcrap is just that, bs, you don't want the game we get that, doesn't make it a bad game though.

The only advantage I see is the tailgating and after party at P&L.
