This would be pretty sweet if it happened.

That would be a nice redemption arc. I don’t believe he owes the fanbase an answer about this past season, but if Mosley comes back Gates needs to be sure that he’ll be available to play throughout the season. Gates’ playing style requires as much depth as possible, being down to 8 players in the tourney was a killer

Mosley has to come back IMHO. His other option is being 1 of 1000 guards in the G League. And Kobe could use 1 more year in the spotlight to show his talent. The kid is a hustler but he isn't the prototype explosive, long forward you see in the NBA.

1 problem they both have is they are getting old for a team to take a chance on in them in the 1st and maybe 2nd round.
When the draft happens in June they will both be 23. Ja Morant will be 23 and has 2 years of college and 3 years NBA experience. There will be a lot of players in the NBA that have 3 to 4 years experience at their age.
The G League has helped a lot players that haven’t been drafted or don’t make a teams roster. In 21-22 over 50% of the players in the NBA have did a stint in the G League.
Staying another year could hurt Kobe’s draft stock, but another year will probably help Mosley’s.
I think Kobe should go and Mosley should stay. I would like for both to stay

personally, I think it would not be in Kobes best interest to come back. I know he could make a lot of money here, but as far as NBA dream goes, this is the best time.

Someone’s not coming back with the new commit

But does the 17th rated small forward break through to a NBA roster? And in the G League does he get enough actual court time to improve his standing? The G League will be there next year, I say go all in as the top prospect from the SEC next year and shoot for a top 3 ranking at small forward.

If I were in Kobe’s shoes, I’d try to work out some sort of deal where he gets NIL money, a guarantee that Kaleb will be allowed to stay on scholarship for his final season, and a handshake deal that Gates will hire him on as an assistant coach when he retires from pro ball. Then go play abroad and travel the world and come back to an enjoyable job making decent money. Not a bad life

This is a article about how Shedrick and the other transfers fit in at Mizzou. He is 50/50 on Kobe and 75/25 on Mosley.

Yes, there are still two gaping unknowns in the roster math here, and that’s the decisions on Kobe Brown and Isiaih Mosley
quote:
But if you’ve followed along with the podcasts and read between the lines a bit. you likely know where things stand there. Mizzou has been recruiting as if both will be back, but with no regard for the scholarships involved.
quote:
Right now they are operating as though Kobe Brown and Mosley will not be on scholarship next season. That does not mean either or both will not be on the roster, rather it will amount to their decision to return and how schooling will be paid for. I said last week that the money is there for both to return. I feel good in saying that includes any needed money for both to have school paid for via NIL.
quote:
Things can always change, and if Mizzou doesn’t fill a scholarship or two they can always support Mosley or Brown that way, but for now this is where things stand. Right now I’d say it’s a bit of a toss-up whether Kobe returns. He still needs to declare for the NBA draft, of course. And if he does he still needs to make a decision. But Mosley is expected back right now. This is just my read on the situation, but I’d say Brown sticking around is 50/50, and Mosley is more 75/25.

Anyone know what all this cryptic Instagram posts by Mosely was?
And his tweet?
Does Gates not want him back? Mosely wants to be here.

Mosley is going pro

Isiaih Mosley’s tenure with Missouri basketball is over. The guard announced Wednesday that he is leaving the Tigers and attempting to begin his professional career. The Rock Bridge alum transferred to MU from Missouri State, where he was one of the Missouri Valley’s top scorers and one of the best mid-major players in America. He missed time during the 2022-23 season at Missouri due to unspecified personal reasons. “Appreciation overflows as I reflect on my journey as a Mizzou Tigers,” Mosley said in a statement posted to his Twitter account. “From a kid in CoMo to a proud member of this remarkable community, I am immensely grateful.”

Probably a mistake. But, what do I know

I think it’s a mistake too, but I didn’t think Jordan Clarkson would have a 4 year $51 million contract either.
He has the scoring ability to be in the league, but he is probably destined for the G League or overseas.
