They do need press work. But UK put a press that was almost perfect. When Mizzou gets a true point guard, that will help break those presses.
I'll take this win no matter how they got there. UK tried to get physical and Mizzou didn't back down and didn't fold under the press. That's a good sign. Matter of fact, Mizzou came back and punch'm right in the mouth. It wobbled UK. They didn't find an answer for Mizzou's defense either. It was like a blanket. They couldn't hit the 20 point mark in the 1st half! That's good D. Mizzou won this game outright, UK lost it outright. It's a "W" no matter how you want to paint it.
Knox should have picked Mizzou.

We had a great defensive effort today, made a run when we needed it and put ourselves in VERY good position for the tournament.
I can't imagine anyone finding anything to be upset about.

I don’t give a rats arse if anyone agrees with me or not! I know the game, and I also know you guys see it through rose colored glasses! Was it a win? Absolutely! Did we play well? Absolutely not! As poorly as Kentucky played, an average team would have won that game by 30. Us? Oh hell no! In the last minute of the game, we can’t get the ball across half court...and it should have been twice, but Kentucky bailed us out with a stupid foul with only 4 ticks to get it across. Then our lead evaporates to 4 points. Fortunately, like I said earlier, Kentucky played poorly enough for us to win!
The best part of that game was, we hit free throws down the stretch. Other than that.....

Look...we had 20 turnovers again....I said again! And it isn’t all because we don’t have a point guard. I can think of 10 that were unforced turnovers. Stupid turnovers! Barnett should never touch the ball unless he’s going to shoot it! He’s a horrible passer! Robertson just dribbling the ball off his own foot and out of bounds. Hell he’s even a guard! Porter, Puryear, none of them can take care of the ball or pass it!

This guy has acted insane on this board ever since he joined. He did the same thing during the football season by calling everyone on the team trash aswell.
I did laugh hysterically when he posted in a thread a few days ago about understanding the post and Jontay’s shortcomings as a 17 year old kid because he coached 5th grade girls basketball.
