Guys, it's not Anderson, it was never going to be.

Quit worrying about him as the coach.

The fallback is Fuller. That's the meltdown hire IMO.

I doubt his son would be the deciding factor on accepting the Mizzou job. Maybe part of the negotiations is him using a private plane to jettison back and forth between Wichita and Como. It's not a long distance between the two in a plane and would be convenient for him.

I'm the king of the last post on a page. I'm reposting this because it's great.

I thought this was funny.

quote:

Washington hired a D2 coach...

...Brad Jackson, he's about Kim Anderson's age. He won a recent National Championship on the D2 level just recently with local school Western Washington. He had amazing success there for almost 30 years. Washington had no problems hiring a guy that could obviously coach even if he has never coached a game on the D1 level.

Oh, I forgot to add that they hired him as an assistant. You really think Washington is stupid enough to hand the keys of the car over to a sixty-year-old D2 coach? Edited by AlleyCat at 10:05:09 on 04/27/14

That is just one thing to consider that I am putting out there. There are obviously more reasons to go one way or another.

It would be silly to think that's not in play though, especially since Marshall will have his choice of jobs coming open for years to come ala shaka smart.

What jobs are opening that don't already have a coach in waiting?

Oh I'm not ruling it out, his son definitely needs to be taken in consideration with Marshall. Just don't see it as a deciding factor.

If any of the numbers being rolled out are to be believed, the length of the contract would keep him in Como for quite a while, that is if he has a huge buy out clause.

That's something for him to consider and really look over.

Last year you wouldn't have said Missouri or Tennessee were opening up though.

On top of that he has had a week at most to think about this and make a decision. For someone that is doing so well and has the world in his hand at WSU is that enough time?

Missouri and Tennessee are second tier programs. All the first tier have solid coaches with their own trees. I don't think they open up any time soon, either.

Maybe kU if Self goes nba.

If I gave the indirect source (one person removed) for my rumor, you'd all know them by name.

I'm genuinely not trolling.

Tweet from UM Curators

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Appears someone sent them a tweet asking for an opinion. They modified tweeted it. Probably not worth a damn thing, just interesting. Atleast they didn't do nothing which would have indicated Anderson, amirite????

@umcurators: MT: @KansasCityTiger: Hey @umcurators favorite this tweet for howland, RT for Marshall, or do nothing for Anderson.

TB is putting up 10 pages of crap an hour. I, for one, appreciate any information that is passed along, particularly when it is tempered and not as one trying to one up everyone.

Ok, I believe you, but I'm retaining the skepticism earned through previous coaching hires and conference membership choices (you know the history as well as I do) that people got stampeded into getting too far ahead of ourselves, leading to mass dejection. Mass dejection on an internet message board is not a pretty thing. I hope your source is correct.

So, still nothing new? The longer this goes on, the more I believe it's a big name - Marshall or Howland. Like 808 said, no reason to keep it quiet if it's Anderson.

Of course, it could still be someone out of left field I suppose.

My new theory is Anderson is helping with the search committee somehow.
