Dude is probably a really nice guy and good basketball coach so even though I mean no disrespect, I am going to be disrespectful. Who the frick is he? I mean, if he didn't go to Mizzou and coach at Mizzou, would he have gotten the same computer generated response I got when I applied for the position? Why not the coach from Drury, Western Washington, Bellarmine, Cal Poly Pomona, Finlay, Winona State or Barton. Hell, they've all won Division II national championships too but I don't hear their name being bantied about. Hell, I'd rather have Mike Leaf at Winona State. That guy has won 2 national championships and is twice national coach of the year. If we're considering Anderson, please tell me why the frick we haven't contacted this guy? He's twice as good of a coach as Anderson on paper.

The meltdown watch may soon be upgraded to a warning.

During a watch, conditions are favorable for a meltdown, if a warning is issued it means a meltdown is imminent, equip nut protection, and prepare accordingly.

There may be something coming either tonight or tomorrow, in which case a warning will be issued.

Stay tuned to this thread for more information.

The only thing I remember about Kim Anderson is that he was some guy that was always standing by Norm and expecting a flood.

There have been reports of a melt down sighted over far west St. Louis County, though unconfirmed at this time. Those in it's path should take shelter now.

If it was Howland or Anderson, we would have heard something.

But we have. We've had comments from Anderson, and the inevitable 'sources close to' Anderson. The one person I can say that I'm 100% sure has been contacted about this job is Kim Anderson. According to reports from sources 'close to' Anderson, he was offered and was dragging his feet because he wanted control over his staff-see Fuller, Tim, for what that might reference. That seemed to me like a shot at the AD. Fits the narrative vis-à-vis the Stewart brigades who will never forgive Alden for retiring Norm-never mind that the program was in clear decline, something Anderson, as the chief assistant, was at least partly responsible for. I thought at the time that those leaked comments had torpedoed Anderson ever getting hired by Alden. My guess has been that it would be Howland, since he's avoided talking to any media about this, even though the local media has been trying to contact him for those comments.

The secrecy might simply be going strictly by the book on this hiring, since as I understand it there is a 7 day waiting period after the opening is announced for candidates to submit themselves for consideration, before a hiring can be made. With the way the last hiring played out, Alden may have made up his mind that it was going to be different this time, and insisted on the candidates being quiet about it.

If it's KA, we need to close ranks behind him. We need him to succeed, and he's going to need all the help he can get. I've never thought it was going to be Marshall.

If Alden doesn't care what I think in relationship to the hire, he won't miss me at the games or watching on TV. Frick the AD, the department and the director.

I could have sworn your OP said we were gonna be happy one way or the way. I noticed you have edited ...... did something change that now inclines your sources to expect a full blown revolution by the fans?

But are there a contingent of old guard fans that won't be disappointed. No need to name names, but is that statement true?

I don't see it. If it was going to be Kim Anderson, I'm sure ol' SoCal's friend wouldn't mind him saying it. Every other Mizzou fan (inside info or not) is saying that it's Kim Anderson. His buddy saying it doesn't make what every other Mizzou fan fears unable to be said.

Therefore, I'm taking this insider info to mean that we're going with Calipari.

Truth is that Alden is scared of the backlash and is trying to come up with a plan to avoid a riot.
