5 or fewer wins then you could fire him
6 maybe, at the very least he would go into 2020 on the hot seat
7 or more he is safe

He’s not getting fired (absent misconduct) unless he has fewer than 6 wins.

A .500 record and a bowl and he’s back. He will radically unperform if we win just 6 games next year. But he’ll still be back.

I think we can win 10 next year. The schedule is easier. We need to take another step forward though, and have some young guys develop.

It’s doable though

I totally understand high expectations based on the easier schedule. Like I said, I expect a real challenge for the East. But damn, fired if he doesn't reach 9 wins? I think that stirs a shitstorm that would be really detrimental to the program.

It’s as likely to happen as us winning 11 games.

Yeah, Mizzou is never going to (and probably shouldn't) fire a coach who makes a bowl. So anything from 6-6 or better and he'll come back. I think that winning less than 9 games on next years schedule will be BO underperforming but I don't think they will nor should fire him if he wins 7 or 8 games.

6 wins is a joke in modern football.

You literally have 3 cupcakes and a mediocre FBS team.

So you need to go 2-6 in conference to go to a bowl.

Talk about low expectations

Who said that was the expectation?

8 wins is the floor. He has his staff and his players. Go win.

I agree, anything below 8 would be underachieving barring being ravaged by injuries

If Albert O comes back and we have a few young guys emerge as real players then I think we can win double digits.

I hear ya and I'm not saying that going 6-6 doesn't go into the memory bank but you don't fire a coach for making a bowl game unless your Nebraska.

6-6 will take care of itself. You can sell some recruits now that we’re building something and getting better. A few years in a row of 6-6 ball and you won’t be able to sell much.

And if you think it’s tough to get a good coordinator to CoMo now, wait until the 2nd year of .500 football (if it should happen).

We will eventually regress to the mean or have a breakthrough year. Or vice versa.

I don't mean just next year but moving forward.
