It’s a bit perplexing that the shitty play calling led to this

Need a silver lining today, Mizzou fans? Over the last 4 years, only 4 offenses averaged more yards per play vs. Georgia than Mizzou last night (5.5). Those 4 teams featured each of the last 3 Heisman winners & all 4 led by a QB who finished no worse than 4th in Heisman voting.
We must have exceptional players on offense to be able to overcome their dipshit coach to this degree

That’s something that somebody who has no rebuttal would do.
If the play calls are so terrible how did they produce those type of results? Is it the superior talent we have on offense? If not, what’s the story here.

I don’t think the play calling was bad in the Georgia game. I haven’t said that it was.
You post the most inane idiocy and think it sounds smart. It’s mostly straw man arguments with false dichotomies thrown in for good effect.

He is just mad that people don’t like Drink as a play caller.
Not sure why it bothers him so much. But hey, to each their own.

He just sees himself as “the smart Mizzou fan” (emphasis on singular). Which forces him to take the opposite position to what the rest of the Mizzou fans here think.

I think you’re falsely labeling what “the rest” think. Perhaps the loudest, but certainly it everybody is constantly bitching about things they don’t grasp.

Have you guys considered that youre all correct? You can't post about shitty play calling and poor QB play. How can a coach call dominating plays if he is saddled with weak QB play?
Every route tree depends on the QB making a throw in a "small window." Over the shoulder, back shoulder, leading throws etc.
So if he can't depend on the throws, then his play calling looks bad. It's not like Drink didn't try to get a transfer QB.

I think you’re right.
His offense in general doesn’t look great. But the Oline has been spotty (performed reasonably well against Georgia), the RBs have been serviceable but an obvious step back from Badie, and the WRs are a bit of a question mark after Lovett. Cook looks like a backup SEC QB. The only problem is he’s starting and apparently not being challenged.
Drink has a couple plays a game that make you scratch your head. Which no one would care about except the end result is a loss.
And it’s easy for fans to dissect those head scratchers and point to them as the reason for the loss when they may not even have been a real contribution to the loss.
I did not think the three pass plays was horrible play calling. But it didn’t work. I didn’t think the hurry up on the goal line was horrible play calling. But it didn’t work.
I didn’t think going for the field goal at Auburn was horrible play calling. But it didn’t work.
In the end, the fans are complaining about losses. And that’s perfectly fine. Drink is getting paid literal millions to not lose.

These are reasonable, well thought out statements.

Correct.

At the end of the day it's the head scratchers. Kneeling the ball 3 times for a FG instead of trying to punch it in, wasted opportunity to put it away.
Throwing the ball three times in a row when the running game was gashing them on a majority of plays.
The O-line discipline and hurry up on the goal line.
The hands to the face.
Yet, our HC is apparently some sort of offensive genius. GTFO with these arguments. He has a record of making poor calls when the game is on the line.

See that’s the thing. Who is saying he is some kind of genius. He’s a good offensive coach. That’s how he’s gotten where he is. Do I think he’s some kind of revolutionary mind that’s changing the game? No, of course not.
I think players play and talent wins. If we had a Drew Lock at QB we are likely 4-1 with a win over #1 Georgia and not a single person is saying anything about “play calling”. That’s a fact. Would he be any better or worse? No
If Sam Horn is the guy we all think/hope he is then all of a sudden Drink will look much better as a play caller.
Does he make the perfect call every time? No, nobody does. We all know the OL problems and who we have at QB. These guys just aren’t good enough.

"Let’s be honest, we got better players up front on defense than Missouri (has on offense),” UGA coach Kirby Smart said after the game. “I hate to say it, but we do. Eli (Drinkwitz) knows that. He did a great job running the ball and managing the clock. He shrunk the game. I thought he did a phenomenal job attacking us, taking shots. Our defense rose up.”

Just stop. You are making the performances against terrible teams look much worse by doing this.
UGA sleepwalked and when they decided to play we had no way to stop them and no way to score. Drink blew a golden opportunity he will never get again. That isn't something to celebrate.

Lol, ok. You’re right. Nothing we did had anything to do with what we did.
Kirby seems to disagree, but you’re right. Fire Drink

Kirby flat out gaslighted you. go look at how many run plays we called vs pass plays. Go look at our TOP the 2nd half. If kirby was your star witness you just failed your client.

Isn’t it funny that the guy’s screaming to throw it down the field are now pissed because we threw it down the field?

We absolutely should until we find the right coach. When you hit the point of knowing a coach doesn't have it, time to move on.
