Not too many people here in Nebraska would agree with you. He was well liked. He just pissed off the big money guys who thought he should be winning NCs. In fact he was given a 3 year extension and raise the year before he was fired. Nubs sre still paying him 4 million a year.

If we hire Bo, I'm burning all my Mizzou clothes and replacing them with Iowa State stuff.

He's a total a-hole.

We're not hiring Bo. There's a reason he's at Youngstown.

OK...kinda hoping for a semi intelligent explanation for that conclusion, but whatever.

He kind of comes off like that. His sideline demeanor isn't the best. He's been recorded a couple of times going off on Nebraska administration and fans.

But really he's not a bad candidate, depending on what kind of salary he would want

Venom, I wish I could tell you that I once collected his spit and had it tested for DNA which resulted in "Anus"...or that I once scanned him with my a-hole-meter and the readout was 100% positive.

But, unlike in competitive debate, I just used my opinion for my conclusion.

And I also can't explain my opinion that Trump has an "unusual hairstyle."

I used to buy this argument but now I have seen enough coaching changes around the country to know that if you hire a good coach, there will be immediate measurable improvements. They may not get more wins in year 1 but they will at least be more disciplined, improve on offense, defense or whatever.

I don't like the odds for getting a good HC this offseason.
Texas A&M, Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Arkansas will probably be getting new coaches this offseason. All can outbid Mizzou.

Oh for fricks sake. That stupid arse argument gets brought up every coaching hire. There are going to be openings every year around the country. That argument holds no water.

Its just that living among the Nubs, they loved the guy. He was tough on reporters who asked stupid questions or if they questioned his players effort. His team was very loyal to him. Someone taped him in the coaches locker room saying F**k the fans, but I bet BO said the same after the booing in game 1. I think he has the makeup to be a great SEC coaching personality.

I don't know how impressed I am with Pelini's 9 win or so average at the Nubs. Every coach they have had since Osborne has been around there. You could probably plug a potato in there and get 8 wins.

Sterk tell you himself?

although I'd rather have Candle

and this new coach thing isn't an automatic fix. We could still go backwards from where we are now

Help me out, who is candle, I'm not finding him.

Nevermind, found him. He only has 1 year at Toledo, doesn't that bother you?

HC at Toledo. He inherited a pretty good situation there, so who knows if he can build a program or not.

yes that bothers me. If I could pick I'd want Fuente but he went to VaTech right b4 Pinkle retired.

So Pelini? I don't think there is much question that would at least be a step up and relatively low risk. I'm sure Sterk is going to want P5 HC experience if he can get it

A little nitpicky, but Fuente was hired after Pinkel retired.
