About to drive Wesolak away because y’all can’t handle him being a lifelong KU fan cheering for their bball team.

I think it should be a compliment to our football program that we get a lifelong Jayhawk to play for us over KU.

Wesolak was the one huddled up by the heater and was too cold to play New Mexico State. Even if he wasn't beaker (and complete dipshit) I'd have no problem with him leaving.

He's not smart enough to read the room. MU should've cut his arse loose awhile ago.

He needs to GTFO. He clearly isn't very smart; the fact that he has left the Tweet up this long tells me all I need to know. Sounds like he is one of the players Drink was talking about sitting around the heater and not ready to play. Mizzou was only his choice because of his legal problems and, frankly, his supposed talents aren't worth the problems. Hope Drink makes an example of him.

I agree with you 100%. If he was a producer on the field it would be a little bit different, but this kid hasn't done a thing, and his shitty attitude dictates he likely never will. We don't need his bullshite. That's why God created the transfer portal.

At a bare minimum, it is a stupid business decision on his part. Who wants to NIL $$ to him?

Mama says she was born and raised in Ks, hence the KU love. And fans should be grateful that he chose Mizzou.

I see he's sitting out of the bowl game...a perfect time for him to portal his arse over to Lawrence.

A Fr who hasn’t played took himself out of the bowl game?

Cut him.

That would be ridiculous if he opted of the bowl game lol. A quick google says that the coaching staff are keeping him out to preserve his redshirt

quote:

“Ja’Marion Wayne has played in four games, and so has DJ Wesolak, so those guys will be unavailable for the bowl game,” Drinkwitz said. “That’s going to give guys like Isaac Thompson, Tyler Hibbler and Tyler Jones more opportunities at the. safety position in this game.”

Probably special teams.

As for Wesolak, he never really wanted to be here anyway. I don’t expect him to be a Tiger much longer. He’s buried on the depth chart anyway.

Wesolak’s ignorant Tweet may help his NIL. On3 shows his social media followers has went up. He now has 15.8 k followers to Sam Horn’s 14.2 k. His accounts probably have 10 times more views in the last 3 days than he had in the last 3 years.

They moved Wesolak to LB from DE, so we will have 5 LB’s returning and Hopper is the only one that has significant playing time. The the other 3 returning LB’s Simmons, Wilson, and Norris have a combined 12 tackles. They will be fighting with JuCo transfer Triston Newson for a starting position and playing time. Triston Newson will bring in experience to go along with Hopper. This year in 9 games Newson had 107 tackles, 2 sacks, and 3 INT’s.

If Wesolak stays he should get a lot of snaps as a RSF.

Wesolak and Jmarion Wayne have received waivers to play in the bowl game without sacrificing their redshirts. Wesolak about to have breakout game before hitting the transfer portal?

I think the coaching staff is in tune with this kid. If he's looking to transfer then he won't see the field. If he is on the field quite a bit then Drink and Co. have sat his arse down and had a talk: "STFU about your jayhawks and get your softass away from the heater on the sideline when we are on defense."
