55-24 bama. It will be a moral victory and help down the road if we can be the first to force Tua to play the whole game.

I remember some of you posting before the season started that Mizzou had a real chance of beating Bama. I'm going to do what I did then, which is....

It won't be as bad as '93 A&M. I was at that game. The highlight was the A&M marching band, which embarrassed Mizzou's band as badly as their football team embarrassed ours.
I'm more worried about Kuligowski trying to get some kind of revenge (re:injuries) than the final score, because I don't think Alabama will be that interested in beating us by 60+. If the game gets out of hand, and it is obvious their DL is trying to injure the QB, then get Lock out of there.

I said it then and I'm saying it now. We shock the world and BO tells everyone to "suck it!"

Yeah, seriously...I don’t remember anybody saying we’d beat Bama

We know Kul’s DL is very susceptible to the screen pass.

There are some things we can do here

Another poster pretty much said it too, but I won't name names.

I can’t imagine kul trying to hurt player’s he recruited. He might Tonya Harding Odom in the pregame though. He hates him and its likewise.

Prediction: Saban says, post-game:

"We played a good team in Mizzou. They fought hard and made some darned good plays. We had to send in some fresh guys in the second half as the Missouri defense was wearing our guys out, especially our backs and wideouts. 750 yards of offense was tough on our guys. I thought our trombone and woodwind sections played well in the third quarter, only giving up a field goal. But Mizzou can hold their heads high. They're a good team and I think with eight more years or so, Coach Odom will surprise some people."

I can already see the reaction coming after this game.

Just to be clear. Alabama has kicked EVERYONE’S arse and will kick everyone’s arse.

We ain’t special.

There’s going to be no reaction. We’re going to get beat and most likely beaten badly.

There’s no takeaways to gain. Or points to ponder from it. We’re just going to be completely overmatched.

We’ll throw the game tape in the trash and move on.

You know, we simply can't compete in the SEC.

We don't have the tradition, recruiting base, fan support or big money donors to compete legitimately in the conference. We don't have the refs calling the games fair and square nor do we have the big money interested in buying recruits either, thank goodness.

The best Mizzou can do is hope to catch the rest of the conference down and lightning in a bottome once or twice every 10 or 15 years and then only have a shot a a division title. (And Pinkel already used up about 30 year worth of that luck.)

At some point, you have to ask yourself what's the point?

From a pragmatic standpoint, there may not be a point. At some point, the B1G may come calling again. We should probably take that call.

The revenue lost would be measurable. But we would probably be in the black again. And we wouldn’t be stuck in an arms race that we didn’t really have the stomach for.

IF our receivers & TEs don't or won't play physical then Lock has no chance. O and Blanton are realistically uncoverable but only if they out-physical the LBs and backend.

Hard pass on the B1G. Mizzou can compete in the SEC. Sterk just has to be smart about how his resources are allocated. The football coach has to be a guy like Pinkel that won through talent identification and development. Mizzou won’t out recruit half of the SEC, same could probably be said in the B1G.
