They are going to hire Art Brioes as their next coach. They said frick the optics. Who knew they cared even a little bit about winning?

I've got to say, I might be in the minority, but I always wished mo state would step up their athletics. I think it would push Missouri too as well. We've never had to worry about in state schools.

The one thing Petrino can't do is recruit, he takes what he has and uses it, no fear, won't land many quality players

Agreed. FCS is nothing to worry about, a lower FBS and then it's a little different.
However, there was that rumor idk 2 or 3 years ago about MO state moving up into the FBS level. I remember someone saying they had reached out to the B12 and AAC about what they would need to do to be considered. Where im going with this is maybe msu made a hire like this to show their ready to get the program going to get to the next level.

Exactly, not that Missouri State will ever really compete with Mizzou.
They just need to get relevant first. This is the first step, risks and all.
