That’s not really a defense of Drinkwitz.

It sort of is. JQ believes only talent matters and coaching ability is irrelevant. He thinks Drink recruiting is good enough to win here.

C'mon JQ, we're above insulting each other. We both want our program to succeed.

That being said, the recruiting argument really doesn't mean diddly squat if they are not doing anything on the field. shite, look at Texas A&M and all of their talent. The same could be said of us.

Coaching is what makes the car go ... 'vroom vroom' ... and our car is out of gas and in desperate need of fuel.

Hopefully Drink can figure it out.

We are like 3 or 4 plays away from being 6-1 and in the top 10. This is with a shite QB and OL.

I don’t know why people are acting like we are miles away from being a good team. We aren’t.

Sounds like some better coaching decisions might have us with a better record even with the same talent we have now.

Is drink losing more close games than he is winning? i sure hope not. I'd think a good coach would be at worst 50% in close games.

All 3 1 score game lost against teams with significantly better rosters, but you said talent doesn’t matter so I guess that won’t mean much to you.

We’re also one play away from being 2-5.

We are what our record says we are. We have one of the worst offenses in D1. Not P5. Division 1.

That Vandy game is a wakeup call! So that means Drinkwitz isn't going to sit back this week! He is going to make sure the offense is much better and the OL gel and get the win over Carolina!

If he wasn’t awake after Abilene Christian, Auburn and Florida, Vanderbilt isn’t going to jolt him awake.

It does mean Drinkwitz is going to make sure the Vandy's game doesn't happen again and get the offense to play much better and get a solid win over South Carolina.

How do you make sure the Vandy game doesn't happen again?

Inquiring minds are on edge waiting for the coaching genius you apparently have but won't share.

I think it's that nasty habit of cluthing defeat out of the jaws of victory thing we have going on.

One QB from being 5-2, 6-1, or 7-0. It doesn’t even have to be a great QB just a game manager that can read a defense.
