It's been a while since I've seen the media be so pointedly critical of the team/coach/play. Nearly all made some comment that alludes to BO losing his job.

While I expected that from social media after such a discouraging loss, it seems the sports writers have joined in the pitchfork and torches crowd.

Will 6-6 keep BO? How much will diving ticket sales affect the answer?

Damn, not the way I figured BO's 3rd year would start.

I don't think he's starting just yet. The majority of fans didn't expect a win vs UGA (though it was more than possible), and everyone expects Bama to be ugly. Florida is looking strong, so maybe even that loss won't be held against BO. UT, Kentucky and Vandy will be the deciders. Arkansas won't matter as Sterk will have his mind made up by then.

Does the coach really effect ticket sales though?

We were 3-0 and couldn’t even sell out a 60k seat stadium for Georgia

To answer your question, I’m sure he always has some names in mind. I’m guessing he’s a little more willing to let the season play out than most fans and media though

I still think Mizzou wins 7-8 games this year which will keep his job.

If BO can find a grad transfer QB he will win enough in 2019 to still be the HC in 2020.

To answer your questions ADs always have a list of potential coaches to be considered

I guess that depends on how good the grad transfer QB would be huh lol?

I really wish the guy wasn’t constantly worried about his job and he could do smart things like actually getting a real look at the QBs we already have on the roster

Those are already sold. They can’t build enough suites. It’s the regular fans that don’t show up.

I'm hoping he has already made some calls.

6-6 and a bowl win most likely keeps him at mizzou

Anything less and he should be set free

Scott satterfield is a guy I would look at. Not sure if he would leave his Alma mater for mizzou. Looks like he has done a pretty good job at app st

It can because it happens off season.

In general, ticket sales are established in the offseason. Rarely does it happen that a fanbase is apathetic entering a season and wins get them to sellout some games during the season. There is tons of data on this from college to the pros and in multiple sports. The ticket sales increase are almost lagging by a season.

Fanbases just don't respond quickly to some wins. They need a season to point to and build excitement over the offseason.

2013 is the only year I can think of that attendance blew up as the season went along.

Wasn't attendance pretty good at the UGA game?

I disagree that it's too early, I believe that this process is already past its initial stage of questioning if Odom is the guy, they're looking at who's available and deciding at the end of the season if that candidate would accept an offer for Mizzou.

The name we keep bringing up is Kim Anderson and rightly so. The trajectory is the same.

Worth noting, who-ever they target, if they feel that they can't get him, they're going to stay hush about it and roll with Odom for another year and say that he's our guy. Next year will be the year that breaks the camel's back, Mizzou without Lock

In fairness, 2007 and 2013 were the only years where Mizzou seemed like they had a chance to compete at the top in most fan's whole life..

No, let’s not get carried away. KA les the worst era of Mizzou basketball in our entire history.

Odom is nowhere remotely close to that.

If the fan base does not believe the coach can win a game he/she should not win then yes.

It was far from capacity crowd. Half of the east side upper deck was empty at a minimum and it appears the student section never filled up either. The hill was well filled but not packed in like it can be.

The more interesting question is who is on it?
