Just got a call, Hardy supposedly had a setback. The comeback may be a while off. I was hoping for Mississippi State.
Edwards is gonna have to pick up the load.

Recovering from a 9mm to the upper femur. I've always assumed he would be back no earlier than November, and missing the season still seems reasonable. Thus I am not surprised.

Bummer. This season could be special with a real QB again.

Why not assume the whole season?
That would give you even more time to harp on it.

Having done some security work in a military hospital I have some reasonable expectations of recovery time from gunshot wounds.

He's just stating a reasonable opinion. And now we know he has some experience to base that opinion on.

I give a reasonable opinion. You make unwarranted assumptions.

Calling it an assumption instead of a falsehood tells everyone that it is warranted.

If he's out all year and given the type of injury, does this mean he probably drops far enough in the draft to stay another year? While it would suck, if he and Simmons stayed another year... I mean.

Ah, I see. You don't know the meaning of "unwarranted".

Hardy will be eligible through the 2028 season at Mizzou.

I know. That’s why I said what I said.

If Hardy misses the season he has to come back. Even if he could pass a NFL physical, he will need to prove his level of play. There is no intelligent way to draft slot him without him getting on the field.
Our QB on the other hand is an issue. Hes got his degree, throws a really nice ball, and the NFL isn't fretting about long throwing motions like in the past. Unless he's really loving his Mizzou experience, what reason would he have to return? But I was surprised Chambliss fought to return, so what do I know?

If he stays another year, he'll have a further improved offensive line, Hardy to hand off to, and a mostly returned defense to get him further up the draft board. Especially if we keep packing the WR room.
Probably depends on if he's projected 1st round or not. Lower than that he'd probably make better money here.

I said before that he like be wise to comeback to Mizzou because NIL and a better chance to make the playoffs and might win it all. Why not do it this way isn't that what most top teams doing that?
