Yes you do, and good eye, as ATX will soon be here to confirm.

Turnovers are DOWN from last year.

WINNING!

The easiest thing to forget and most troubling part of all of this is that the first year we were also in the Big 12.

The SEC has proven to be a gauntlet for us, but most agree the Big 12 is still a peg or two higher than the SEC in basketball.

Easier conference, worse results.

I was shocked! I'm chalking it up to Pressey being gone

Went from 13 to 12.6 a game! With that kind of spontaneous improvement, there is no telling how far this team can go!

Haith clearly has things headed in the right direction!

It's hard not to expect too much based on their progress to date. Tempering expectations is especially hard when you see the success they've had recently.

I would be willing to go out on a limb though and say they could possibly get that number to 12.4 per game next year.

Oh almost certainly. They barely passed the ball 13 times a game this year, and if they just keep taking quick long 3's and nobody presses them I think 12.4 is in the bag.

Another fun fact related to assist per game...

Year 1: 11th nationally in assists/game
Year 2: 98th nationally in assists/game
Year 3: 322nd nationally in assists/game

Now obviously that happens when you lose guys like Dixon and Pressey, but at going from 11th to 322nd in two years. You can't pin that all on a couple of players

I think that assists per game, much like rebounds per game, points per game, opponents field goal percentage and actually even wins/losses stats are meaningless. What really matters is how I feel about the coach. Unfortunately, I feel he sucks.

I'm a numbers person myself. It takes any biases out and gets straight to facts. Haith fails my eye test, but he also fails the numbers test. That leads me to be pretty comfortable with my assessment that he is not a good coach.

Is there a reason you didn't include the points of reference that Haith inherited?
