I don't know if everyone believes he's ready, it was just we know cook isn't the answer and it might be better to get Horn experience and develop a QB with a higher ceiling.

Wake has lost at least 2 starting players and 1 that is in the 2 deep of the depth chart to the portal.

Turner 1 of their 2 starting RB’s that has 516 yards rushing and 7 TD’s, Holmes a starting DB, and Roberts a DB that played a “significant” amount of snaps.

They have 5 more in the portal, but with very little or no playing time.

The slow mesh RPO offense Wake plays is annoying as frick. If you don’t stay disciplined you will be gutted and embarrassed.

Their coveted QB Sam Hartman is probably leaving the program but is still likely to play in the bowl game.

He’s currently tied with former Clemson quarterback Tahj Boyd for the all-time ACC record for passing touchdowns, needing just one against Missouri to take sole possession of the record.

Draft countdown has him ranked as the 93rd best LB that is draft elegible. He is better than that and his stock would only rise at the combine. If he holds out and has another good year he will probably break the top 25.

If he can improve his 40 time and reps he could get in the top 3 rounds. He runs in the mid 4.5’s and Trenton Simpson ranked 1st or 2nd best LB runs a 4.39. The guys ahead of him are fast or strong or both.

He will probably play on Sundays and if he can wait another year he can change that 5th round pick into 2nd or 3rd round.

Draft Countdown

Nick Bolton didn’t do the combine like most players. His measurable’s would have only dropped him in the draft. He had teams come to his Pro Day. Hopper has better measurable’s than Bolton and will need to go to the combine.

Silly. There aren't even 15 LBs in the country better than him.

If Hopper is #93, then Holy shite, the NFL will be loaded next year. But seriously, do you think he stays? I was expecting him to be one of the first to declare for the draft. So I'm very surprised by his silence.

I agree. He is definitely in the top 20. Maybe in the top 15.

Leo Chenal was picked by the Chiefs in the 3rd round at pick 103. He was the Butkus-Fitzgerald Award winner the top LB in college football. Good college LB’s don’t always go that high.

2022 draft
1st round 2 LB’s
2nd round 2 LB’s 2 OLB’s
3rd round 6 LB’s 1 OLB
2 LB’s 1 OLB
4th round 1 LB
5th round 2 LB’s
1 LB
6th round 4 LB’s
2 LB’s
7th round 5 LB’s
1 LB

Last year if he was the 15 best LB he would have gone in the 4th or 5th round.

He should wait a year

2022 draft 33 LB’s picked
2021 draft 22 LB’s picked

I can’t understand how Cook makes such bad decisions on 3rd and less than 5 or 4th and less than 3.

I understand he couldn’t throw it to Burden very often in the second half, because he was double teamed with safety help. Then on 4th down he throws it to him when he’s not open and probably could have ran for a 1st down.

He made a few good plays, but he makes so many mistakes. 4th and short he throws a bullet over the middle to someone covered. If he would have waited a second Bannister would have been wide open with no one in front of him.

Throws low throws high he can’t be the QB next year. It better be Horn or someone else. Don’t care just not Cook
