For someone to win between 8-10 every year here he likely needs to be a top 10 coach in all of college football. I certainly don’t think he’s that. I agree that there are worse coaches that have been mentioned for our job, but there is just nothing to get excited about here. Not to mention the dude is weird and I really don’t want to look at his goofy arse for the next 4 years lol.

For an offensive coach, his offense really wasn’t good at Florida and Bama got better after he left. To be fair to him though, he did lead a pretty big turnaround of the UCM offense this year.

So right now, unless 808's sauces say Clawson is out, Clawson and Mac are the two best options with interest in the job?

Tells you how much sizzle the job has amongst young coaches.

Not much unfortunately

I guess either one of those guys would be ok. Not exciting by any means, but ok. Ok is ok. Ok?

To win 8 games at Mizzou you have to beat:

FCS School
2 G5 Schools
Low tier P5 School
Vanderbilt
Arkansas
Kentucky
South Carolina

One of Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, SECW opponent will get you 9.

I dont think that takes a top 10 coach. Maybe a top 25 coach and I think McElwain is one. Before being hired at Florida he was a very hot name coming out of CSU.

Now what do you have to do to win 10? Then think that’s going to happen yearly.

Would take a truly elite coach. He’s not that. He can probably get us bowl eligible yearly, then maybe jump up occasionally and approach double digit wins. That’s fine. It’s ok. Acceptable. Yay...

Yep. No sizzle. I assume Harsin isn't interested either, but has anyone heard anything?

Harsin’s name is sticking around.

I’m trying to get an update.

Heard nothing new. But we're hoping for a loaded BMW and hate to admit we'll get a no-frills Chevy Impala...and likely one with 12,000 miles from National Car Rental.

I'm starting to wonder if Gundy was just bullshitting me when he said he was coming to Mizzou. He said he'd call me after talking to Sterk, but I've heard nothing. Nada.

That darned jokester.

We did not interview Healy.

We have had more than two candidate interviews already. And less than four.

McElwain is the only one that is impressive. Knows the SEC and can do more with less at a Mizzou. Pinkel 2.0

More than 2...less than 4. Six?

I still say Sterk has his guy but is "interviewing" to prove his "National search with many fine candidates"...rather than simply saying, "Oh yeah. I hired Charlie last week."

The dude could look like Kermit The Frog and it wouldn’t matter. I wanna win again.

Yeah. I get that vibe, too.

I think the rest is just the Rube Goldberg machine of Twitter and the internet making something of nothing. “I’m hearing Kiffin turned down Missouri.”

Why can he do “more with less”? What evidence is there of that. Arguably he did “less with more” at Florida.

Lol

Pinkel likely won’t ever happen again considering coaches rarely get longer than 4 years anymore

The basketball board there is worse. And I’m contributing to it.

I only have deductions here. 1 of those is likely Harsin and 1 of those is almost definitely Clawson. There’s a lot of smoke around McElwain, so that could be the third.
