I assumed it was mainly money and offensive fit.

Drinkwitz didn't have the experience and it showed when not get the roster with good backups. It is now coming around. Now he has an OC, and he should help with recruiting and with the offense. Anyone know who will be the new OL coach? It is very important to get it right. Not quite done but close to it and with the roster getting much needed depth at key position is good.

It is still odd to see Florida pop up on the schedule and think to yourself "well there is one SEC game we should win".

I would say 6 wins and a bowl game win keeps everyone happy.

But I said that last year, and we got our shite rocked by Wake Forrest so maybe he should be in hotter water.

Personally I don’t care about the bowl game. They have been rendered meaningless and it will only get worse with the 12 team playoff. 7 regular season wins and a team that is set up to compete for the expanded playoffs in 2024 should be the expectation for this season IMO

Vanilla personality.

Offensive genius my arse.

Below .500 record.

I don't think one of his recruits has gotten drafted yet. (transfers don't count)

Not the current AD's pick.

I just saw Drew Lock post a pick reconciling with our old friend Tom Herman at FAU. Go get him and bring some life back into the program.

I sure hope some fans can see the changes Drinkwitz is doing so far. He isn't one of the HCs to turn things around overnight. Kentucky is one of the football programs that took a while to make some improvements. Drinkwitz is moving in the right direction. This year and next year should show huge improvement overall. Texas A&M flopped last year. That can happen to any team. I am happy where we are right now with Drinkwitz.

LOL drink has done nothing to even be compared to stoops.

Stoops actually had credentials.

Drink is a bad coach, we've seen it. He smoked a f'ing celebratory cigar for 3-6 in sec, 6-6 overall.

Bar has always been set low here, it's why beiser, female bball coach, are still here. No one cares enought to demand the best.

Missouri sports have ALWAYS been a speed bump till cardinals/chiefs,blues,etc sports start.

Ok, I totally understand your sentiment. But if we start over, are we the type of program which is gonna land this top notch coach? And who would it be? Chances are we end up with a Drink type of hire again.

It’s hard to judge even the best coaches when they are in the rebuilding process. It’s not like Drinkwitz was left with any offense especially a QB.

Pinkel started 22-25 and lost to Bowling Green twice, Troy State, and started 2-3 against Kansas.

Saban’s 1st 4 years at Michigan State he was 6-5-1, 6-6, 7-5, and 6-6 with 3 bowl loses. There are probably a lot of Spartan fan’s that wanted Saban gone after his 1st 4 years especially since he had a 2nd Rd QB and 2nd Rd WR playing together.

There were Mizzou fans that wanted Pinkel gone early too.

The QB's looked a whole lot better when Drink wasn't calling the plays.

Expectations... After his 3rd season, I expect more going into year 4.

I say 8 wins. I can somewhat understand the 7 win folks. The 6 win folks are fools.

Drink is a loser at 17-19 and that's ALL THAT MATTERS. He was hired for his offensive ability. Well, that's been proven a load of bull.

Keeping the thumb on r-kansas is his best achievement.

This is completely false. It is very easy to judge coaches. Do they immediately make the program better (like pinkel did?) or not? Good coaches make things better. It may take them a while to build something great but it does not take a while to make improvements.

Saban also made his teams immediately better than when he arrived.

I'm telling you guys, this year is a much more difficult schedule than last year. Only easy game is the South Dakota game. The over under is... 6 wins.

Then drink should be well prepared to find a new job.
